Can't agree. Briscoe was out of favour, simple as that. Motu's continuous selection at fullback was more to do with Sharp's determination to put him there, come what may. In fact, if anything, hammering his square corners into the round hole of fullback was detrimental to Tony - that "high-ball" nightmare shattered his confidence.
