Yes, I am sure it was a great experience for the younger players to play against a strong Super League team. We've had a hit and miss start to the season so it would of been far too risky to play a full 13.

We must have been watching different games. Lauaki had a great game, as did Sam Moa.

We must have been. Can't remember much about lauaki at all apart from him driving it in on the 5th tackle about 15 metres out and being tackled pretty easily all game. He should have been ripping them to shreds

To be fair Robbo I was really hoping for a stand out performance from Lauaki today, but we didn't get one. His effort couldn't be doubted, but everyone around me agreed that his impact was minimal. Washbrook actually stood out a lot more, and prior to this game I'd much rather we'd retain Lauaki than Washy.

I don't have an agenda on Lauaki at all, and agree he's not worth a quota spot, but I thought he had a good game. The point about Dowes playing better and that we will have all the forwards fit for the Salford game means at least there's a selection debate this week.

Sam Moa was busting tackles for fun today and even when he didn't he found the cheeky off-load. He ran through the Oldham defence at will and I expected the same from Lauaki. Alas, it never happened. He played OK but he should have killed it today. Even Washbrook was bouncing through the tackle to greater effect then him. Overall, pretty disappointed.

If ever there was a game for lauaki to show us what he can do it was today and he failed miserably.

I reckon we've had about 30 minutes of top notch play from him since he arrived 2 years ago
