So, from that article I now know that it's the players who run the show.

Players don't like John Kear (1 trophy) - off he goes.
Players like Agar (0 trophies) - he stays.

Shouldn't it be the coach who is in charge? What message does it send to any prospective coaches? The board won't back you if you try and instil discipline, because the players are in charge?

No company I ever worked for has this mentality.

An example of this was Long deciding whether or not he would be fit enough to play, shouldn't the coach be telling the player/media his chances of playing? He doesn't appear to have control over anything at the club and it goes downhill on match days, worst rotation of a squad I have ever seen.

erm i think you have that wrong! How does the coach know how the players injury is doing? Its the players body he knows wether he's fit or not

Surely if you asked Agar he'd also say he was good enough and stay in the job. One thing you can't doubt is Agar has instilled discipline, he binned a number of 'unprofessional' players and has just sacked Tansey.

The article itself does not hold that much credence as there is no quote from anybody associated with Hull FC that his job is safe, although i do feel he will have a few more games yet to try and turn it around.

I think it's a fair suggestion by the club see how he is doing by mid way thru the season to keep a top side with Brough in to a 10 point deficit I would say is okay, I think u will beat crusaders and then put a few wins together, if the players are behind the coach then they will play they're hearts out. On the flip side crusaders are no team to underestimate espec with superman playing for them, which by the way I dont rate him and think hull have had a lucky escape there, think there are far better half backs than him.

Sounds like a vote of confidence to me.How many boards say that before a coach gets the sack?.Saying that i do think its time for everyone to rally round and get behind the team,if nothing else just for the suppoters to install some confidence into the team.

The mail are mischief making, this will infuriate a lot of fans and may well affect the gate...however it clearly states the board will not respond to any questions

Totally agree, the article says Agar given more time but then goes on to say no-one from the club would comment.

To me that says it was made up by the HDM, probably to sell newspapers as it will incite the fans on here for one.

We've played one side that finished below us in the table last season who don't have a hope in hell of making the top 4, an understrength Leeds side who went down to 14 men during the game, and Huddersfield away. I don't think too many teams will come away from Hudds with the points this season, so that one you could argue is fair enough. The other two, well...



No doubt we'll pick up a few scrappy wins against the likes of Wakefield, Salford and Crusaders and we'll be expected to believe everything is suddenly rosy.

Reading between the lines it is a Journo doing what Gollum did last week, forcing an issue, the journo will be more than aware how most FC fans will respond to this.

They might well have responded to the questions, told the Mail not to quote them directly and said that they should quote 'a source' at the club.
