Is Fitz gibbon right handed/footed? Just a thought that Tickle is left footed so the kicking could be divided into Tickle converting from the right and Fitz from the left.

Yes Fitz is right footed. Not so sure that right foot/left foot matters much now, most kickers have learnt how to draw or fade their kicks anyway, Tickle as an example has learnt how to just hit the ball dead straight meaning it doesnt really matter.

Fitzgibbon is the ultimate clutch kicker and i would be stunned if he wasn't our kicker for next season.

Don't think we should have alternating kickers. Would hope Agar picks one and he takes the kicks. I would have Fitzgibbon since he's right footed and we will be stronger (attacking wise) down the left side (hopefully).

fitz is one of the best kickers there is, I would also hope that he plays the majority of the the game so it must be him.

i'd think he'd play at least 60mins every game.

So Ticks' stats are better than Fitz's though both are excellent kickers. As I said earlier Tickle should be kicking when on the pitch and will benefit from the option of being spelled.

fitz's stats are based on his entire career, whilst tickles are based on the last 2 seasons.

In my opionion fitz is still the better kicker.

IMO it's the near term stats that are important. For example Long was an excellent kicker earlier in his career but I wouldn't want to see him kicking very often for us as his form has dropped off in recent times. My view was that Tickle has done nothing wrong in kicking terms for us and his last 3 season stats show that he is at least as competent as Fitz and therefore doesn't deserve to lose the job. That would change if his form dipped.

I expect and hope to see them both kicking as that would mean neither of them are doing 80 mins week in week out.

Can't think of any reason why Tickle should be dropped from kicking duties imo so we should leave it to him and as you mentioned it will do him the world of good not having to play 80 Min's a game so when he is off Fitz can take over.
Can't understand why everyone wants Fitz to do the kicking when tickle has done a grand job over the years, Fitz is majorly getting built up on this forum, captain, kicker blah blah blah and i feel Kearney syndrome coming on at some point.

If we were drawing 10-10 and we had a conversion to win the game i would much rather have Fitzgibbon lining up the kick than Tickle. Stats and percentages dont take into account how important the kick is.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but do the aussies still play with a different kind of ball thats made up with a different number of panels? Makes kicking it a different experience.

Super League used a 8 panel ball but that was ages ago, may have even just been to do with the WC when we held it IIRC.
