No game plan, his excuse was that he needed more "experienced" players (who presumably had the benefit of being under a real coach at some point in their careers) and his signings.. Mick Gibbins, Terry Manning 
washed up has beens who even at their peak were ordinary - but they were "experienced" of course |

Yeah I remember as a kid being bit of an autograph hunter so would get them from both teams when the chance arose. Casey was probably the only guy from either side who refused me (whereas must be said I found Hull players like Richard Gay and Steve McNamara absolute class acts). |

Hmmm some similar comments have been made this year!!!!
As for my worst FC coach - got to be Walsh (to young to remember Casey). Although we were e 97-99 that period of our illustrious history was the some of the best for me....simply for getting leathered at every away game! |

The only time I refused to go and watch Hull was when he was in charge.

I think Len Casey's problem was that he was chosen by the chairman, nobody else on the board wanted him as coach, and as such go no support wharsover from the board IIRC. Casey was also a proud 100% hard as nails player who expected the same from his players, and would say he didn't know how to Man manage when the players didn't do the same. Peter walsh just tossed it off the whole time he was here. He certainly talked the talk, sadly he couldn't run a millimeter when it came to coaching. It's Phil Sigsworth I feel sorry for in the Peter Walsh farce.
