Yes this is my first post which is why I opened it as I did. I realise a lot of people will disagree and as I have said I am more than happy to accept I am wrong, it's just what I have made of the situation with the knowledge I have of it.

If it was incorrect paperwork, then his rejection would have stated incorrect paperwork and not previous conviction.

My understanding is that a certain amount of points have to be reached in order for an application to be granted, somethings e.g. convictions, not submitting forms (confirming english speaking) etc, knock points off. Submission of other forms and also the order that they are submitted in can add points on. It appears to be all about knowing the system and appreciating exactly what is required.

You are wrong. You can be rejected for a conviction no matter how many points you may have elsewhere.

And the points are based on the information on the forms, not anything else.

I don't think Rule's ever even mentioned any problems with documentation for Lauaki has he?

I'd heard the story of the first application containing errors by his Agent and a second form needing to be filled in, but I don't think there's ever been anything official from the club.

This again maybe true, but if a form isn't submitted in the first place it can't be counted as it isn't there. I am just of the opinion that these sort of mistakes should not be being made. I'm not one of those calling for anyones head etc, just saying lessons need to be learned so that these sort of issues don't happen again to put the club in the spotlight for others to mock.

I dont believe for one minute that the order you do or dont submit the application forms will determin wether a visa is granted or rejected. Thats just ridiculous
