I agree. Washy should be captain and loose forward!

Ive played in various different teams with various different dynamics and some of the more succesful ones were quiet, but they lead with their actions and inspired each other. Crocker would be awsome in the back row but look at how we lifted when Berro kicked that 40/20 in the derby. We arent getting enough out of the likes of him as well as Agar setting us out wrong with his team selection, tactics and interchanges.

Quality players can lead by example. Our backs last night must have been the worst back line we've put out for years. No example to lead with unfortunately.

funny how that word LEAD and LEADERSHIP comes to the forefront all the time, Agar reckons he realises its what we are missing, he bloody well needs to stand up and show some of his own.

I don't rate Agar, but the refusal of some fans to accept that many of the players just aren't good enough is beginning to be laughable IMO.

as the post above said, if the management and leadership style is crap so are the workforce,.
he puts the gameplan down, he deploys the tactics, HE IS THE COACH the ultimate responsibility lies with him

I've worked with organisations where the management was dire, but they still got good results because they had a talented and dedicated workforce.

berro for captin. i've saw him a few times have a go at the players last night. he's the best player on our team. it's just that he's always 2 steps ahead of everyone else on the team, so when he makes some space and gets us into a try scoreing position no one else is there to finish the move off.

in the majority of cases where the leadership style is crap so are the workforce and you cannot truthfully say Agar is a good leader.

I agree in this situation we should make our best player the captain. If Crocker ever does arrive he should instantly take on the mantle.

I wouldn't have Washbrook as Captain though he has potential for the future. We need a Captain that is prepared to ruffle a few feathers of his friends and team mates. I don't think washbrook is that man just yet (though he's my favourite player !)

The rumours I hear from the grapevine I'd have Dowes as Captain, even though i'd prefer a captain on field all the time, so perhaps give washbrook the lead when Dowes off the field

Sadly there is few candidates for the job, so if and when we look at recruiting half backs they need leadership qualities too.

Give it to Manu or Tickle then.

Berrigan as hes a player who all the players respect and look up too and hes on the field for the full 80

sorry but for me theres only Berro. Not one other player warrants it. Berros the only class we have and the captaincy may give him renewed hope cos he looks a beaten player to me.

I wouldn't even play washbrook let alone give him captaincy. The kid hasn't progressed in 3 years. we need a Jason Smith loose forward.

Was brilliant last season out of position, in most coaches dream team last year! Washbrook plays in the halves and our winger goes in, in the corner with a great cut out pass! it is no coincidence. Danny knows how to play the game and has the skills to put it into practise. Outstanding choice for me! suppose you could give it to berro until he leaves then washy but why put it off?

I don't want to sound like I'm sticking up for a player clearly not in form, but apart from four, maybe five games this season he has been playing behind a beaten pack. I think you can afford two plodders max in the pack but we've even converted the number 13 position, just to fit another plodder in!
