It does not matter if someone says how poor we are on the pitch, he says that we throw the ball around and score lots of tries......if someone says something negative about the quality of our squad, he tells us that it is the best that we've ever had.......and if anyone has the audacity to mention our future prospects being poor, he brings up 3 finals in 4 years.

First 4 would be in the starting 13, arguably Byrne would start at right centre. Burnett had tight hold of a starting spot before his injury (although probably wouldn't get in the 17 if Crocker was here). I think we've taken a decision not to bleat about injuries this season after we had such a bad run last year, but with 7 "out" we're effectively back to where we were all last season in terms of player availability. Just hope we get resolution of the visas soon and that those who are injured can get back to fitness asap. Any news on Burnett?

TBH I've listened to a few of them and the best ones are where he gets the likes of Tony Sutton and Lee Jenkinson on as you get a bit of insight into how the merchandise or finance operations go on. The player ones are sometimes amusing but a bit predictable. It's not really up to Rule to talk about how quickly we play the ball or whether we should play Radford at LF but people still feel compelled to ring in and have a go at him about it, so respect to him for fronting up on a regular basis. He must have had to answer the MC visa question a dozen times by now.

Then you'd get the old complaint about the board being invisible, not wanting to engage with the fans etc. Don't think it does any harm for an hour a fortnight TBH. I think James Rule is the only person who's been asked about the visa process more than you the last few weeks.

The thing about senior management being visible is that they have to do it with sincerity, honesty, transparency and with respect. I like the bloke but i think enoughs enough with some of the tripe he comes out with.
