When i went to get the tickets for my grandparents a guy next to me had the exact £21 and was going crazy about the extra £1

Off course i gave him the extra pound but i think its bad of the club tbh.

I don't have a problem paying a pound for charity.

What I have a problem with is the club taking credit for other people donating to charity.

I see the headlines now "Hull donate £15000 to Comic Relief" without actually donating a penny.

Any organisation worth its salt would match what the public raised.

have to say i disagree with forced charity, and that having people with collection buckets in the ground on derby day would have been a better option.

Yup in west hull it's called a charitable donation In east hull they call it the Derby surcharge and is usually £10 extra per ticket In the South stand.

I'd have no problem with paying an extra £1 that goes to charity but, as Willa said, for Hull FC to claim it's THEIR donation when they're adding it to the ticket price is a complete joke!

It should be "Hull FC and Hull KR fans donate to charity" because Hull FC will be keeping 100% of the ticket money at the normal admission price.

I'm not saying I have a problem with paying an extra £1 for charity, I just think it's a bit strange to add to the price of a ticket instead of cut into their own revenue.

I'm right though, The simple way to avoid controversy would have been for hull fc to double the usual price of south stand tickets and give the extra money to C.I.N. then neither set of fans could complain about unfair ticket prices

Yeah they picked "Free the Melbourne One!" as their charity.

But they don't know if IT is "the fans of Hull FC and Hull KR's charity of the year". Our choice might be a different charity.



And personally i would charge Rovers fans an extra £10 to visit the KC.

No, you'd make the basic North Stand price 30 quid and "discount" all the other teams.

And that would be your prerogative, exploit an opportunity to make a greater return on the gates. But would you send all of the extra gate money to charity and claim it as your own donation?
