Releasing Raynor will fast track some of the young prospects into the first team squad. He's been a quality player for us, but has been injured so frequently in previous seasons that players like Tom Briscoe have been given their chance, and have grasped it with both hands. Jack Briscoe, Reece Lynn et al are the new breed, and by all accounts are very close to the first team. Lynn in particular will be a star, and opposition coaches already know about him and believe he should be in the first team set up at the club. Raynor leaving will speed up these young player's development and, in a years time, we'll look back at this and be thankful for the opportunity that has been presented to Lynn, Briscoe etc.

Thanks for everything you've done Raynor, you've been a brilliant player for us. Now it's time for the future to be just as good, if not better.

Don't disagree with you i would rather give the youth a go then waste some money on a journey man or someone.

Indeed we do . I feel we've been over protective of our young players over the years . Now we have some quality players with the experience and some very talented youngsters = perfect blend.

off field issues aside, Raynor will go down as one of the best wingers ever to have wore the black n white his stats show that and with a decent centre who could pass who knows what he could have achieved. Thanks and good luck.
FWIW bring on youth, Reece Lynn will be a star by the end of the season Briscoe, Calders wingers. Yeaman, Hall centres with Whiting, Turner and Lynn pushing for their places.

I'm lead to believe the door is open for that had Raynor gone or not.

raynor has been a great player for hull, defensively superb, a great off load (if only other players could read it), makes good yards, gets a quick play the ball and with the right service could demonstate his finishing abilitys more often. BUT his off field behaviour is disgraceful, i'm proud of hull fc for making a stand.

briscoe, hall, yeaman, calderwood looks a good 3/4 line with briscoe, tuffour, lyne back up.

Raynor has been excelent for Hull both in attack and defence; the two moments that stand out for me are both against Warrington - his 90m try and the try saving tackle in the East-North stand corner when the Warrington player looked certain to score
