Partially so. Ask around the league they know what we've become.
A young player for us couple of yrs ago when talking bigged us up but as near as much said how awful n poor we are when things not so good. Said among the young players some nervous cos if they make a few errors they know they're on borrowed time unless they turn it around quick!
You think hall n Lee amongst others don't mention at their new clubs how we call them when it's not going good or sarcastically cheer when u catch a ball etc.
We are Shite now , worst fans bar none. Go around the other forums.
More pages on here bout a player most seem unhappy about than signing paea who was probably the comps best in the exact same position.

Talk to some players. Maybe open your eyes. Even get yourself to a game. Hear people slag certain players before games kicked off n then irrespective of said player maybe having a good game hear that same 'fan' shout n Bawl the most when that player makes an error e.g. westy, crookes, Shannon.
Also some bell turning up to Aaron's house to abuse him! Also here, facebook, Twitter n few other outlets how do you think word doesn't get about how f*****n w**k we've become as a support base.

Been to plenty of games, and if players are so bothered about the fans then maybe they should take their fingers out of their and put a shift in?

we are talking about people earning 40K a year and more, poor lambs.

Look at the end of the day we are easily the worst at it.
Most players should n do have tough skins.
Some though as tough a skin as they might have can't help to be bothered.
Crookes was always struggling, before he's even put a shirt on. In many cases it's wives girlfriends kids etc that hear it, they get upset that rubs off. There has been some dire dire players for rovers. I'll talk to my mates about them an they'll say so. Game day, fans back em n never heard of them calling them or booing them.
Been to other grounds as a neutral n seen poor players make errors after been doing it all yr, massive sighs all round, no abuse though.
Were poor, if big portions of 12000breed n exude negativity how does that not make its way into the team/players minds?
You've seen a team lift with mega support(semi, matter of weeks ago for a start) why would you think poor support n negativity doesn't work the same way?

Believe what you want, we're all entitled to an opinion.

Whether or not it affects players decisions to come to us I don't know, however our fans are terrible. I can't remember the last game I went to where I wasn't embarrassed by something one or more of our fans did. Be it fighting amongst ourselves or just idiots shouting things out.

And you know that how, exactly? Done some proper research into it? A survey maybe?

Or just an opinion plucked out of thin air?


And I've been to grounds as a neutral and otherwise and heard fans of other sides give just as much abuse as ours do.

No from knowing players personally from other teams the league n watching at the least 12 neutral games.
Can you imagine what we'd have done to someone like latus if he'd played that long on our wing.
You ever sat with a young player n have them ask you what what's been said on here as they know I go on here? Then if you ever go on our facebook page at times it's cringeworthy! Everybody on facebooks gonna follow their sons,brothers, husbands team. Of course it bothers people n rubs off.

Honestly - any player who's bothered by what gets posted on the internet, or the level of 'abuse' at games for that matter, probably ought to swap to flower arranging as a career. And their relatives need to grow up. The world is full of numpties and most of them have internet access. Learn to deal with it.

Plus our fans are no better or worse than any other sports fans anywhere. Replicate our performances over the last few seasons at any other club and you'd be seeing the same response. It's what sports fans do.
