Without a doubt, this team is improving everyone can see that. Far from where we want to be but a million miles from the team we were. You only have to look at the attitude to defending when the game was gone, Connor tackle and Fonuas. That doesn't happen in a team with no effort, pride or respect.

There is no need for massive wholesale changes or calling for players to be dropped, it's being a tough month but we have some favourable fixtures on the horizon let's build momentum and confidence and if we get into the play offs then who knows.

Let's get behind them as at no point this season have I thought they are not trying for us.

Yeah definitely. Even last night I felt we were lacking in intensity, but I never felt like we weren't trying or didn't care. We just looked a bit sluggish and not quite up for it. It happens sometimes. In elite sport even being off by just a few percent can look terrible, and I think that was the case last night.

I think that's the most frustrating thing for us all the unforced errors and brain farts, after starting the season brightly I thought we d seen the back end of them. I agree the applications been brilliant obviously every teams allowed an off day as long as it doesn't become regular.

One of the main things killing us is indiscipline.
Completion rates way below 50%,continually infringinging in the ruck and lack of ability to catch and pass.
A lot of this is due to fatigue having to do too much tackling but its self inflicted and is getting worse every game since we played Salford.
The other problem we have is a total lack of impact from any of the bench players.
I realise we are short on numbers but surely when you have an impact player like Faraimo sitting around there must be a place for him but to prefer Scott or Johnstone seems strange unless he is leaving at the end of the season and Hodgson would rather use a contracted player.
Trying to utilise two nines is a waste when the replacement offers nothing to change the game.
The thinking for the bench next week needs a rethink so that we have something off the bench to give Saints something to think about.
I would even chance starting Bowden with Sao so that we can bring Big Chris on to give us some impact.
There has to be a place for Faraimo.For me he comes in for Fonua with Fonua on the bench for Johnstone

We need to find ourselves a top notch no9 (think we'll have to look overseas), Danny has been wonderful but it's time to move on. Johnstone isn't the answer imo. Coupled with that another quality prop wouldn't go a miss either. Much to ask I know, but without them we are going nowhere.

Saints aren’t so much as letting Theo Fages go (we have offered him a contract) but Huddersfield are rumoured to have offered him 200k/ year and we simply can’t match that. We have some big decisions in recruitment this year, as do many teams
