If you look at it, apparently quite a few players were injured last week, a fairly short turnaround and a bruising game against Catalan won't have helped this.

In terms of desire to win, you could see from the opening minute that this was huge. I would question our mental toughness though. We struggled to play our own game and bought into the little niggly stuff that Widnes were doing, and we also struggled with the stop start nature of the game, courtesy of Mr Ganson.

Couple this with the core of Mr Agar's team of inconsistency and you have tonight.

What an embarrassing performance. Our front rowers were OK although only two of them really ran with any vigour. Our back three forwards put in a collective display that would have been unacceptable in a pub team. Manu does this occasionally but at least plays some blinders. Not sure who was actually playing loose forward. Westerman isn't fit to lace Tickle's boots. I keep waiting for a good display - a dominant one that makes him stand out. Instead he misses tackles and is ordinary going forward. He's had a terrible season. Our backs were a joke and couldn't catch the ball. If Will Sharp is fit I'd drop Briscoe next game and play him and Lineham. Horne either needs to speed up his play or pack in at the end of this year because he has reached the stage where it's too easy for opponents to read what he's going to do and knock him down/the ball out of his hands before he does it.
