Manila is, quite bizarrely, the visa "hub" for south east Asia and Australia. Makes no sense to me, but no doubt UKBA, or whatever they are now, have their reasons. |

Not sure how the UK Visas work, but mine for Oz is an email stating start and end date with my passport number as reference. I have no stamp in my passport.
When I need to clarify/prove my visa situation with a bank for example, I just take in a print out of the email and they cross check that with my passport.
Gone are the days in Oz when you get the visa stapled to your passport....... |

The Australian Embassy/Consulates it seems operate a different method to the UK, I know from first hand experience that UK's visa's are stuck/stamped in their passports -hence Miller tweeting, he's waiting for the postman to arrive. |
