With mini signed up I hope we go and get a big south sea island 2nd rower to play off the bench. As great a player as Ellis has been we just can't afford the cap space he takes up for the number of games he plays. Get him into the coaching team

Agree with that, although there's Hadley to throw into the mix for a back row spot. One things for sure and that's we lack any impact off the bench this year.

My favourite bench player this year so far has been Fash.

Which without being harsh on him is miles behind for example Cas who've been in some games bringing Moors and JSL off the bench.

We've had some major disruption with injuries this season though with 5+ first 17 players out pretty much every game for the last couple of months but even at full strength we're probably looking at a bench of green, bowden, washbrook and connor/thompson which lacks a bit of impact for me.

I'm not sure we need an impact prop as much as we need a 2nd rower who can create space out in the centres. One area we're a long way behind last season is back row IMO as last year they offered us plenty of go forward and made breaks and scored tries. This season they've been poor to average in terms of impact (not effort)

Agree with you and in ideal world we would sign a prop and backrower and sign an English winger.

Don't know why people are putting Connor on the bench, surely he is a first choice centre when all fully fit?

First two are good but not essential players. Rhys Evans offers nothing at all unless we are looking to formally appoint a scapegoat - we could even give him the number 4 to keep a certain poster happy.

Agreed with this, both are decnt players, but I wouldn't pay over the odds for either of these, think BJB agent has done a good job getting his name out there linked with other clubs to get the best deal for his client, all agents do this, I reckon Kelly's agent did this to get him a better deal at Hull.

I'd never spend big on a winger unless there were world class.

Who's a world class winger? I can only think of 1.

Even players like Blake Ferguson aren't what you'd class as world class.

Powerful wingers who can clear their lines, break tackles, take bombs and finish when given the chance.

OK SL world class, you just have to look at Cas to see you don't need to spend big on wingers if the rest of the team are good players.

Me too, very raw but just his ability in the air, footwork to avoid the big hit, his goal kicking and his pace all are great qualities
