As a matter of interest just about every bookie on oddschecker.com has us down to finish 8th this season. I'm surprised given the squad we have assembled but it goes to show how tight the middle of the competition is.

On the same site Wigan are overwhelming favourites to finish top. I don't bet but to quote 'Stevo' I'd put my mortgage on Leeds. I can't see any other winner.

I think I saw one that had us joint 7th with Cas, probably about right without the overlay of local optimism. We're stronger but so are the likes of Wire and Catalans.

I tend to agree about Leeds, and would prefer to see them on top than Wigan.

Although they have recruited well they have lost quality though in whitehead, Taia, Dureau, Lima, Oldfield and Henderson. Unless they improve their away form they won't do much better. Great time for us to play them away also.

Probably so. Tend to think that they'll be the ones to watch every year, partly wishful thinking. I guess 7th/8th with the bookies is reasonable though as the team's above us haven't stepped back in terms of personnel.

Taia and Lima missed a lot of ast year. They've got in Taylor Stewart Horo Richards Myler and Aiton. They have that tank of a kiwi winger for a first full season.
Carney can only be better this year. They have very good pivots and a good squad depth.

They under achieved last year. I don't expect them to again.

We have certainly had some bad moments, luckily I have plenty of memories of cup finals etc, to counter balance those.

Vidot's sustained a shoulder injury in training so will miss 2-3 months. A big signing for them but their backs still look good.

They will play some entertaining stuff but their pack is really poor. Possibly the worst in the league. I'd be surprised if they trouble the 8.

Their squad does look a bit imbalanced. Will be interesting to see how Sheens goes - presumably he has the full cap to spend.
