These things have a habit of fizzling out so the important thing is that we keep the pressure on. I've emailed my local MP along with others suggested in this thread.

I think that's exactly what it boils down to at both fan and board level. They see us as Hull City's tenants who they are having trouble evicting. Unfortunately it now seems to be descending into some sort of warfare, and never has it been more evident that the SMC needs to be run by a neutral, independent party (or parties).

If the SMC are running at a loss. Who is underwriting the losses?

If its the Allams what if he decides not to after your little protest.

Hull FC could actually end up worse off if the rent needs to increase to make up any short comings.

If you'd bothered reading this thread you will have read that notes to the SMC's recent accounts mention that the SMC's losses were underwritten by Allamco et al. So we already know that Allam is underwriting the SMC's losses. The pertinent question is: "how come the SMC can tick along nicely for ten years but then suffer massive losses in each of the two years under Allam's control?"

But thank you for your concern, I'm sure it is genuine and very much appreciated. But if I was you I'd be more concerned about when the great philanthropist decides to call-in his £1m loan to Hull KR

It could be down to the dwindling crowds at both Hull City and Hull FC bringing in less revenue. Also the stadium is more than 10 years old now so I would imagine the maintence costs will start to rise.

He may want to check that "the stadium has always failed to make money" before he says it on record too.

If he wants to run the stadium as an effective commercial outfit, offering a decent service to customers should be top of the list, not deciding to charge tenants extra. Taking the pics down and putting new ones up has a cost, leaving the ones that are up in place doesn't.

Utterly pointless and if this wasn't really happening, I'd think it was all a very silly joke.

The City fans make me sick, and further enforce how much I despise that club. Football city?? Dont make me laugh. Join FC's and KR's attendances together and we are getting more than City are despite all 3 clubs having falling attendances. Their arrogance makes me sick

I fail to see how charging to put pictures up is going to generate enough revenue to make the SMC viable. If he wants to make a "profit" then I suggest that he starts to look at other avenues of genuine revenue. WE play in the stadium a maximum I would say 17 times a year. 17 days only. City play twice that number but I would suggest that at least 300 days of the year the stadium is empty.
I know of other stadiums which are much the same and generate massive profits due to using their facilities to the full. Lords cricket ground is one which makes a massive profit. The bulk of the time it is open to a few hundred at Middlesex games. Yes they are the most prestigious ground in world cricket but attendance wise its similar to the KC. They also have to bid for test matches not get paid to hold them.
Its time Mr Allam or a independent person started to run the SMC and get the maximum amount out of the stadium. Concerts, international matches of any sport, you name it it can be done. But charging a small amount to put up pictures is not a commercially viable option. The bad PR he has generated alone will cost the SMC massively.
If we as Hull fans and if the RL world in general really feel as strongly as seems then a complete boycott of all SMC controlled produce will cost Allam (SMC) a fortune. Not wonderful business at all. The guy should employ a PR company before he sends a mouth piece to talk for him again.

Had a reply from a few places, have replied myself with my take on what might be going on:

Thanks for taking the time to reply, my view is that Allam is trying to make the SMC look unviable without City, give the impression to the people of Hull that the Council really would be better off cuttting their losses by selling him the KC. In the previous years up until Allam buying City and the SMC the SMC posted a modest profit and made a marginal positive return to the Council, but the Council also paid a modest rental for the office space it used, so in effect it was a revenue stream, a small one, but it existed.

The Allams came in and priced just about everyone out, the Council closed the offices as there was general uproar when the HDM ran a story that the SMC was not paying much into the Council coffers (oddly, at roughly the same time as "Dr" Allam started to make noises about buying the KC), in the last set of accounts for the SMC they posted a loss of just over £400K, no dividend so no money for the Council, but the SMC had £1.2m "cash at hand" in the bank...very odd, to say the least.

Then we have the situation with YPI, Adam Pearson stated very publicly that he wanted to buy the Golf Centre and turn it into an indoor, all weather, training facility, "Dr" Allam then started bidding against AP, after 3 attempts AP gave up. "Dr" Allam has since been overheard, stating along the lines of "I don't really know what to do with it, maybe Squash, but they already have courts".

So, this great philanthropic hope that rode into the City on his trusty steed, vowing to "bring success and top level sport to the city", has so far:

Sacked Nick Barmby

Sacked Adam Pearson

Donated a £1m "soft loan" to Hull KR

Priced the hockey and basketball teams out of the Arena (which now has no sponsor)

Removed all but a small amount of FC's presence at the KC Stadium

Outbid AP for a property he neither needed nor wanted.

What was his vow "I can't just do something for one club, I am here for everyone"

That doesn't ring true, I remember "judge a man, not by his words, but by his deeds", I think it's fair to say any unbiased jusry would see through this for what it is, an ego driven agenda to get his hand on what he always wanted, the Kingston Communication Stadium and it's surroundings.
