I never blamed Whiting for the tries though
I quite simply said I dont think Hall would have done any worse than Whiting. Whiting was clearly at fault for the first meli try (which I actually think Craig [icould[/i (not definately) have done better. As a try was scored from that mistake Craig could not have done worse in that situation could he?. And if as you say Rich was left out to dry for the others then Craig again could not have performed any worse in those situations as a try was scored each time. So my statement is pretty much on the mark.'"
Fair enough.
A lot of guess work in your post mate though.
Maybe Halll couldnt have done better maybe not, we will never know.
Think people are getting abit carried away with Hall's performance against Salford, a few weeks ago some would never had played him again.
Saying that I would like to see Hall in the team but not at the expense of Whiting, Washbrook would be the player I would drop and shuffle the team around abit.

| i think Hall had a decent game against Salford. he knew he was fighting for his place. i'm not his biggest fan but i'd like to see him in the squad for Hudds. move Whiting to centre and maybe move Turner to the halves. i'm not saying Turner is a great HB but he's more imaginative than Washbrook adn has a better kicking game.

The deal stalled when they found out he had a British passport.

Not necessarily. The sliding defence has a much better chance to get to a centre 10m in than a winger right on the line, which is why the winger should always try to take his opposite rather than jamming in too quickly.

Spot on IMO.
SO would be another option. Would offer more there than Washy.

I disagree about that as Washy is having to play a supporting role to Long and Tansey who are our main ball handlers, which I personally think he is doing well. We would miss Washys defence on opposition 2nd rowers outwide as his defence is superb.

I would agree, Whiting would possibly bring more the attack but Washbrook is basically following orders and allowing Long and Tansye to do their thing. His defence though has been excellent and he has the physicality to do it for 80 mins week in/out. The one thing we would lack with either at 6 is pace so for me I can't wait to see Horne back in at SO. Not sure where Washy will go though, no real spot on the bench so he could be unlucky and find himself 18th man unless we get injuries.

Who is guessing, certainly not me? Did Meli not score 4 tries on Rich Whitings's wing? A:Yes(Factual information) Q: Could Hall have done any worse in that situation? A: No, because on each & every occasion a try was scored. Impossible to do any worse in the given situation so no I'm not guessing.
Don't get me wrong I love Rich to bits, always been an admirer of his game & his adaptability as a player whilst still giving total commitment & none too shabby performances either. In differing circumstances for him (& with a different team) I reckon he could have had a full GB/England cap (or two) by now in the back row.
HOWEVER, all said & done he just is not a winger, Hall when playing to a standard I know he can(which has not by any imagination been that often) is the better winger in the true sense of the position, NOT the better player, that is something else. IF Richard gets dropped then I know that he would be the first to be helping Craig getting things right from a defensive POV. Rich is one of smartest rugby players out there & he knows his limitations in the position he is been asked to play, he is also man enough not to get the hump because he has been dropped. There is no [size=150 I[/size in team.

Your getting desperate now.
See from Thailand?
In reference to the trys I have seen as much as you Jakey boy.
It's called the internet, I have seen the trys on the SLTV and HullFCTV a few times.
I would suggest you watch the trys again, Whiting was only at fault for the first one.

Not so desperate that I've had to move to thailand
And I saw the game in real life, with my own eyes, where you can see the full pitch, not just the small bit on the video. whiting was well out of position for 2 of the tries. He was stood right next to turner for one of them.
Still, it's bound to be hall or turner's fault, what with whiting being a fev lad an all that

Not strictly true. One of the first things that Justin looks for in a new signing is a British passport, the stipulation is that it must be accompanied by an Aussie accent.

I probably agree with you to be fair but just offering other options in the arguement. I'd rather have speed on the wing though IMO which means I'd rather we play Hall.

Care to explain what this means?
As for blaming Whiting for the Meli trys, we have to agree to disagree.
As for the boring Fev lad comment, it has be proven to be rubbish as Whting has been dropped after a MOTM performance, but keep banging the same drum.

Agree with most you have said, but you are guessing, as Whiting kept Meil quiet for the last 35 minutes you and I have no idea if Hall would have done that.
Hall could have taken the ball in the last 2 minutes knocked on, Saints get the ball and score the winning try, they is no way of knowing if Hall would have been better or done any worse, apart from guesswork.

The fev lad comment is a joke, just that some people are so uptight that they bite at anything. Long may it continue
