Really hard to predict.

Bottom two IMO will be Leigh and Wakey, too three Wigan, Saints and Hudds (no particular order for either).

4th to 10th really hard to predict, all down to injuries, thibk we will just miss out of play offs maybe 7th, be nice to get to at the CC final, we have a really good 17 IMO, but injuries to key players, backrow and 6/7 we will be in trouble.

Just like us to play some good rugby and no collapse at the end of the year.

Thibk Warrington will be the biggest improves, assembled a strong pack, drinkwater is a smart signing and think Duffy and Williams will have very good seasons behind their pack.

The aim for the club has to be a play off finish, however as a fan I will be content with watching consistent and entertaining rugby... of which a top 6 finish should follow off the back of it.

Be interesting to see if Powell can turn it round in 1 off season. From 2nd bottom to play offs is a big jump.

Pressure is on Watson to win something at Hudds this season too. They've probably got the deepest squad in SL.

My opinion is we will see some major surprises in S/L this coming season.
As for trophy winners i will go for Wigan.
Biggest surprise team for me will be Castleford who now have a really outstanding spine.
looking forward to seeing Tony Smiths influence on the team and playing style but a second row of Savelio if fit and Lane with a possible back up of Griffin doesnt cut it for me so its likely we will see Ligi Soa in the second row for a lot of games

Think Cas recruitment has been pretty poor, but that's just me.

Widdop is 33 and coming off another shoulder injury. Miller blows hot and cold. The rest of their recruitment is a bit meh.

Can see them in the bottom 4

A lot of hype round Huddersfield and I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish above Wigan to clinch 2nd. Pains me to say but I think Connor for MoS at 20/1 is a bet.

Think they need to reach another final again this season.

They became a bit too structured and predictable last season but Connor will help them their. Flip side is Peats is a big downgrade on Levi and they have a fair few players 32+ who you'd think will be in the starting team.

Pressure on Watson to deliver

Agree always thought Miller is slightly over rated

Widdop getting on

Think leigh will surprise a few some good signings

Still think will be hard to stop saints

I'll be a little disappointed if we don't finish top 5 as saints wigan aside there's not much between the rest as Salford showed last season

I think Leigh will just escape relegation this time.

Leigh squad looks thin at the minute. Think a few injuries and you'll really struggle.

It looks light up front and an old set out outside backs

But likes of leutele ( especially ) hardaker, Charnley are still more than good enough for super league

Holmes and Jack Hughes again more than good enough for super league

Actually think they'll be dark horses for the play offs

I think a few clubs would too tbh.

But all other SL teams have academy players they have invested in thr last few years.

But you guys have under achieved due to having a bad run of injuries. If lose 4/5 quality players due to injury, academy players won't fix that problem. We are only a quality middle and an outside back from being a really good team.

We have been terrible, but still haven't come close to relegation in that time. Injuries have given gametime to the likes of Wynne, Brown and Laidlaw who can play SL fairly regularly.

You may think you are close to a really good side, but you can never know, your squad and coaches had no tests last year, let's see I the players are good enough for SL, before we start making big predictions. I think you will stay up, but only just and talk off being near the play offs are way off.

You are still way off at least 8/9 SL clubs squads IMO.

I did say in an earlier post we would just escape relegation. We are doing everything we possibly can to build to become a top side. Promoted clubs have a massive disadvantage to stay in Superleague. If you've noticed, Leigh have done it different this time by recruiting Superleague standard players whilst in the championship, and have added a further 12 players to that. Of course that still doesn't mean we will be challenging for honours, but it gives us a better chance to build towards that. FWIW - Hull fc recruit well every season, and I always have them for the play offs. Unfortunately like I've already said, injuries have hampered you regularly. If injuries or suspensions are kind, I'm going for Hull fc to be in the play offs, and Leigh to finish around 8th/9th/10th position. Our recruitment for the last two years has been terrible. Our recruitment on paper looks good, total new spine though but lacking a bavkrower IMO, with some luck could get top 6, but think we will miss out. Spine of Hoy, Truman, Clifford and Dywer looks a world away from last season. Coaching is our biggest improvement but think it may take a season to challenge.

Find the article on every player barring one improving their fitness stats from last year. I know how I’d rather be entering the new season.

You are falling for pre season propaganda. Every team is working harder, loving their new coach and ready to right the wrongs from last season.

Yeah, but we’re used to all those years of the sinking feeling associated with the phrase ‘mobile pack’ or its only slightly less depressing cousin ‘play some footie’.

Although it is a fair point, and I’m certainly not blind to it all, but this is different. This refers to hard statistical data that gives facts about our players. Granted the data obviously wasn’t published, and never would be, but we’ve never had a pre season where stats like this have been talked about in the media.

Talking in the media especially from HDM’s Rovers correspondent is propaganda.
