He wasn't the best forward in SL and was (And still is) an uncapped international player. At the time he had 4 red cards accross 2 seasons and it's fairly obvious they was off the field issues.

Hardly the type of CV that will make clubs pay a bucket load of money, especially since we wanted rid and didn't get approached.

I’d have him back over any available prop though , including NRL and super league props. Wattsy has kicked on with Cas and dare I say, looks an even better player, we still don’t know the facts of his release.

Imagine how rovers must feel when Tag Watts, and Josh Hodgson keep leading their respective teams.

Watts looked great at Rovers, then went off the rails, great at Hull, but then had issues with on field discipline and rumoured off field behaviour, I'm sure that Radford would have loved to hept him, but there are reason why he wasn't, most of which we will never know.

Who to say had he stayed, other players like Taylor and Sneyd would have left.

He's ok, good finisher, A bit Faraimo like for me, strong, dangerous from close range, but not blistering speed

Cheers, like I say don't watch much NRL so never even heard of him. Would prefer us to use any quota/non fed places on forwards before we go looking for any backs. Unless someone special became available.

According to HDM we enquired about George Burgess but aren't pursuing him as he's likely to stay over there. Looking at Glenn & Kane Evans apparently.

Kane Evans came on the scene quite hot at the Roosters, and we nearly had him on a loan deal a few years back on the recommendation of Fitzgibbon. Big guy, not sure on his recent form though

Being successful in the NRL is a real concern and if they were, they are likely to stay in the NRL.

Some of the better NRL props that have come over here, Fifita, Millington and Garbutt had pretty quiet NRL careers.

With the salary cap as it is compared to the NRL, unless you use a marquee spot, you either get a player towards the end of his career (Glenn for example) or a fringe player (Evans).

Evans is a big bloke, I think it is done, as someone who is pretty in the know said on twitter that they were looking forward to watching our new signing play in the Eels/St George game.

All games he has come off the bench. Round 4 stats look impressive, but then Round 5 pretty poor, and didn't play again until Round 8 when he only played 6 minutes. Looks to have good leg drive with his Post Contact Metres.
