| Yeaman was poor but what do you expect he hasn't played for 2 years the best bit was because he's that used to not passing that when he tried to it wouldn't leave his hands , the game went much the way I expected for all your injuries in the backs your pack was far too strong for us and I'd throw that French kid in from the start

| Can't understand some people we won, we got two points we are still in the top 4 tonight, we have beaten them 7 times on the trot and a very, very make shift side made Rovers look what they are, pretty woeful. As for Yeamo he put his hand up 8 days ago he volunteered when the team was struggling after he hadn't trained for 16 months he did it to help the team out, he played, we won so we got away with it. Thing is with another 2 or three points we avoid Leigh Toronto and the middle 8's whether we like it or not in the adversity we face at present that has to be the first aim. It was a passionate performance and the kids really stood up. Radford can still get us up for the big games whoever we have out there .

Absolutely correct. We won and that's all that matters. A 7th consecutive derby win should be celebrated not picked to pieces.

| Crazy ricochets off the crossbar aside it was pretty much the game I expected to see. We played to our strengths and kept it basic with direct running, quick play the balls and offloads. We got done on the outside a few times but that was expected. Rovers are rubbish, and yes of course a better team would have beaten us, but we did what we needed to do. Dont think anyone can be disappointed with the performance.
Westerman was the best player on the pitch imo. Although Connor stole the show somewhat with a handful of world class plays. The 2 debutants did fine. Miloudi again showed lots of promise. Mini had his best performance of the year, if he played like that every week I would be in favour of another extension for sure. Yeaman didn't really work out imo. Full credit to him for putting his hand up but we got nothing from him that Hadley couldnt have done.

Completely agree - this is the worst set of injuries to genuine first teamers for ages and they are all long term ones. With the toughest possible cup draw we need to go all out for the 1-2 further wins needed to avoid the 8s which will be a real battle this year and do what we did at the end of 2015 with Fash, Masi and co and give the likes of Lane, Harris, Scott, Logan, Miloudi as much gametime as possible. We need to play the long game here.

| While the game was low quality, I thought the effort was fantastic and the senior players such as Mini, Manu and Westerman led the way. Thought Harris was great and even if Albert and Sneyd are fit will give us a new options.

Helpfully after he had a free masterclass in silverware acquisition at Wigan. Couldn't have worked out better tbh.

Really glad he's still involved. Can only be good for the club as a whole having an individual like him on board.

| Just don't get the negativity, whilst it wasn't a perfect performance the 17 out there got the job done. It was never going to be pretty with both sides missing so many and patched up. For us it was more of a patched up side due to the number of injuries in such a short space of time. The fact we lost 3 against Fev meant it was a very makeshift team. As for Yeaman it would have been easier for him to stay on the sideline but all credit for stepping up at such a late stage. Consider he's not been playing or training for so long he didn't do so bad.
Thought mini really stepped up to the challenge today along with Westerman & Connor plus the young lads didn't let the coach or team down and stood up well. Losing Griffin hurts us as we had to rejig again. Not think miloudi harmed his chances either.
Think this is the worst injury run we've had since McRae's days when we the season went pear shaped late on due to the amount of injuries back in 03 or 04 if memory serves me right.
All in all the job got done and all credit to the squad and don't think we could have asked for anymore to be honest.

| Fantastic 2 points
Maybe a vital 2 as well
We had too much down the middle and when we did use the backs we were handy
Was that the worst Rovers team ever ??
Kirk can retire now gracefully - please, job done Kirk and he must have loved it
Connor is number 6 despite cries on here to play him at centre next week- are you insane ?
What’s Uber alarming is how Rovers made metres out wide all game
We never stopped it and Wire will make use of it all next week
I’ve mentioned before teams are making masses of metres on 3-4th tackle out wide
Rovers had it so easy and of course the tries out wide
So next week we must use umbrella defence to stop the too easy metres

That is why Miloudi and Harris should play in the halves so we are not exposed out wide as we were by a team that would have being beaten by Fev/Toronto and Tolouse, Connor can shore up out wide with whoever is on the wing.
Yes we won but frankly it highlights so many problems with the coach and his inability to address the same issues that crop up time and time and time again no matter who plays.
There was a chance to play last week someone who had played in the halves and doing extremely well by all accounts, there was another chance today but again ignored which meant ridiculously we played with 12 men and a has been who did nothing all match except give a stupid pen away, bomb a try (natch) and make a handful of tackles, oh I think he made 6-7 metres on one run when he had space.
It's the failure to recognise that sending out a has been (in fact re-signing a has been or two) and not trusting to a youngster is definitely the wrong call, aside from injuries at the back end of 2014 when the season was over and the "million pounds in the stand" Warrington game Easter '16 it's been the staple of Radford's tenure.
We kept banging it down the middle and failed to get it out wide, by sheer weight of the fact KR were utter crud and our forwards were right on it, we had some success but if we'd have spread it wide we'd have had more success. So fixated with banging it down the middle we couldn't capitalise when they were down to 12 and were outflanked by 12 men
Connor produced a quality pass and a great individual run, aside from that he didn't really produce the goods (a lucky bounce off the crossbar doesn't count). He punted it too far downfield so they had an unchallenged catch too often, and it was too often the only play we had ...again!
Full strength we have one of the best squads in SL, easily top 4, the problem at the moment is the coach, he's simply incapable of changing how we play to actually improve our attack, he has not being able to change what the players do which results in penalty after penalty and getting involved in niggle we don't need to stoop too, Matongo made a mountain out of a molehill at the end, I mean really, wtf was that, immature or what!
This game highlighted again why we will not move forward with Radford in charge, I thought he might have turned a corner but he really hasn't.
For all of the posters on here saying stop moaning, they clearly don't see the bigger picture as to what the underlying issues are and how we haven't addressed that in the slightest injuries or not.

The result suggests that Radford got the call right and he has more knowledge on the capabilities of the players than we do and the level of fitness.
We were getting success down the middle so why should we have changed that? The aim of the game was to get the win whether ugly or not for a very patched up side. Radford has moved the club forward further than any coach other than Peter Sharp in the SL era. I just wonder how the likes of Shaul, Green, Bowden, Hadley, Lineham, Fash, Matongo, Logan ever made it in the game with such a poor coach in Radford!! He is all for promoting youth but when the time is right and for them. There is only so many young players you can bring in at once especially when we finished the game with Shaul being the only player in the backs from Ines that started the season. That is one hell of a miss for any club to deal with and in such a short space of time.

| I A fine victory for a side including two debutants, a returning warrior after nearly two years out, no first choice wingers, or half backs, victorious over a desperate rovers side scrambling for anything they could get. I’ll take the points thanks, without criticising our make shift side, we have a fine spirit in adversity, and perhaps some of our armchair supporters who post with such negativity, would benefit from actually attending matches to feel the passion from our team, and not be led to much by Sky tv, well played Hull a derby victory, our seventh on the bounce. Wonderful scenes at the end come on you ull

I often defend you but most of that is utter rubbish to the point that I wouldnt even know where to begin in pointing out where you are wrong. The only bit I agree with is Yeaman. We should find another option.

| I can honestly say that I think Masoe turned in the worst performance by a forward I've ever seen in a derby. Managed 11 minutes before he got interchanged, and then never came back on until mid way through the second half. No impact in his runs at all, but when you look at the size of the guy he should be knocking players over like skittles.

<.. usual anti Radford garbage snipped to save space>'"
Of course Hull played down the middle a lot. It wasn't too far off of the first choice pack and they were up against the weakest one in SL. At the same time a 2 -7 composed of debutants, a retiree and players out of position was unlikely to gel together well and not surprisingly it didn't.
Spot on tactics from Radford to get the win - how anyone can criticise him on that is insane.
Then again if you coached them with your sports psychologist in tow then no doubt Hull would have won by 50.

| I remember the times when if Paul Cooke was injured you fearing taking a hammering due to having no creative outlet on the field, we have lost our 2 first choice halves and Connor is playing out of his sock's at the moment, were are still 4th in the league and we wont be far off the 4 when the super 8's start, was playing Yeaman a mistake, I have no idea. I do not get the reports and see the things Radford and his coaches see in training but I bet playing both centres in a derby game on their debuts played heavily on his mind when selecting Kirk, we got the points and that's what is required at the moment simple as.

| Until Kelly gets back, Connor has to stay at halfback, for Warrington I'd go with
Shaul
Miloudi
Scott
Yeaman
Logan
Connor
Harris
For Saints the same but Faraimo in for Harris and Miloudi at halfback.
Can see a couple of hammerings in the next two games, hope I'm wrong.
Hopefully win 5/7 after the Saints game and keep us in touching distance
