No Seb you have missed the point, a police escort was able to guide the Bulls bus to the stadium via an exit, however the FC players where nearer to the accident which was past the exit point used to guide the Bulls bus,so the FC players could not get the same escort, the FC players set off to the KC earlier than the Bradford players!

Bulls fans who traveled on their official coaches can travel free tomorrow, great gesture by the Bulls, hopefully a fairly decent crowd tomorrow.

250 mile round trip but at least we didn't lose



Shit happens - nothing could be done about it. It's not realistic to expect the players to wait around for hours on end when they're mostly less than a one hour commute away. Maybe they'll change arrangements a bit as a result but some things happen in life which just have to be put down to experience.

Couldn't believe the level of moaning and slagging by some on the radio last night. It's an inconvenience nothing more - some people are professional ers and moaners. Good job they didn't have to live through a world war or two. Now they were serious.

getting away from the accident, it got quite heated in the pub last discussing the game day prep for the hull fc side. some people would like to see the players have a full day of bonding and i do think it has some merit, but our home record was good and it would appear there is no problem this our prep.

That's not necessarily true had they left later the traffic may have been backed up passed the last turn off then they would of got stuck further back the only way they would of got through if they left later is if they got a warning about the accident then turned of earlier but then they would of still got stuck in traffic on the smaller a & B roads.

It was a no win situation all round.

What happened last night was one of those things that nobody can plan for.

I dont think the pre-match build up needs to change. Had the road been open normally those players would have been there by 6 at the latest, so I think about 2 hours is early enough for the players to get there.

I am a hull fan and was travelling down after work from Ripon. I was abit late setting off, which was bit of luck, other wise I would probably have been the wrong side of Junction 34. I saw the Bulls bus pass me on the Hard shoulder and like it, had to come off at J34.

The road we were on went very close to the scene of the accident. Although the tanker was clear of the road, the problem was it had spilt was it was carrying and that was causing the tarmac to break-up.

Did actually arrive at 7.35. But there was nothing the players could do. Even the Radio Leeds team got stuck, so it wasnt just Hull players.

What pub was it? I'll get PG to go along and benefit from the collective wisdom of a few blokes on the beer.

Strange that this game day prep situation has never been issue or even discussed on here before last night, considering how many believe ours is crap!!

i was in fact arguing the point that our prep was in capable hands, but it was leaved back at me that most prem league footy clubs have a team meal together and there for are all together long before kick off

Just for the record it maybe worth noting that although PG possibly has a damn sight more knowledge than the rest of us on how to prepare/coach/pick a team this will not stop fans voicing their opinions on things, nor should it irrelevant of how sensible or not those opinions are.
Maybe if he had listened to the fans on the beer he would not have wasted pre-friendlies playing a hooker as a h/back and given our 2 h/backs more time together

I seem to remember post match being discussed under Agar, some-thing about the players being seen in Big Mac not long after a game if my memory serves me right. Also a thread which discussed Wigan swimming at the Village hotel before a game and discussed then with questions about what we as a team did, again this was under Agar.

Nor should it stop me pointing that I don't agree with people's opinions that they believe they know more about RL coaching and match prep than the guys who's job it is
