Whats that old saying "Nice guys finish last", sort of rings true doesn't it. Could he be being too nice with the players, trying to be a mate rather than a coach? It could explain why the players seem so amiable towards him.

Well they all do rave about him. Maybe thats because they get away with murder.

As I said in the Agar contract thread, I think our last 3 head coaches have seemed good coaches as part of a set-up, just not the men who should be in charge. They've all talked a good game but shown questionable motivational and/or decision-making skills to say the least.

Options if Agar stays?
1. Bring in club psychologist to ensure players are properly motivated and prepared mentally for the game
2. Bring in coaches that can work to rectify players individual problems
3. Bring in a leadership development specialist to work with Agar and his team in order to maximise their performance in the right ways.

The thing is, how much more does that leave Agar with than just picking the team and recruitment? May as well save even more money and hire someone off this board.

Exactly my point really. A top coach should do all of those things and he blatantly doesnt. The club are making a rod for their own back by been adamant they'll stick with him and by extending his contract. He's soo lacking it's unbelievable.
