i agree , could never understand why he was picked for GB, was courted by Leeds, warrington and wigan when his contract was due to expire last and why macnamara wanted him to go to this years party down under...

he suffered a few injuries and the baby wore him out plus other issues but this year he will shut everyone up and i hope everyone will hope he does too

He gets picked for England because we don't have much choice, he's fairly average (as many have stated)

There is a dearth of even decent English centres. An on-form Yeaman compares pretty favourably.

He does need to up his game and hopefully pressure from Berro, Whiting and Turner will help him. If he does then we will see the benefit.

Id sooner have kept Hall.....Turner offers us nothing...he is another Graeme Horne.

attacking wise hall was better,but defensively turner is more solid,and scored tries when the opportunity arose.

I think Turner has the potential to be a great centre. The moment it clicked for me was when he scored a try this year at Leeds in April and I remember thinking what a great 'centres' try it was, ran a strong angle and with pace to finish.

In my opinion, Hall was neither of these.

Turner is a good defender and I believe his running will get better with time.

I'm not convinced by that TBH. His positional sense is very weak in the centres IMO. He may yet improve that, but at this moment in time I'm leaning more towards Baldy than yourself and Tommy. He'd be 5th choice in the centres next season if it was up to me.

Have a look at the two Leeds games over the two weeks and then tell me Turner can defend. He flaps at players and doesn't look to have the confidence or aggression needed. Long way to go and he looks to have dropped down the pecking order anyway for next year.

Actually, if you read the article, it suggests that Agar has told Whiting that [ihe[/i sees him as a centre. It seems only natural then that he should wish to establish himself as a first choice in the position his coach intends to play him.
