Last two are easy fixtures, first one is more difficult with the pivots we have, I'm not sure 3/4 are good enough to compete regularly at the top.

In some ways I’d like to try Reynolds at scrum half and put Connor back at stand off. Put swift at full back and use someone else on his wing.

obviously disappointed with the result, however Savellio was clearly missed. Possession of 70/30 didn't give us a chance. Impressed with the effort though, thought Sneyd had a real dig and we deserved more points.

Saints are a machine though, LMS is a great player, (hoping) that some of those hamstring tweaks bare fruit for us next week, different prospect with the Faithful in the ground, my prediction FC win and Reynolds MOM

Very lucky we didnt today, at least 5 disallowed trys.

Agree we were not very good, but there was a time when we would of got fifty plus on us. Bad day at the office, looking for a big improvement next week.

I'm not a massive Sneyd fan (particularly with his form the last two years) but thought he did ok tonight.

I think hooker is a massive problem for us or at least or acting half passing, the last few minutes, Fonua caught the ball and Walmskey hit him straight away, I thought he must be offside, but on the reply he wasnt, just a terrible pass.

I dont why our hookers dont run from acting halfback then pass more.

It's painfully obvious we need another prop too. We've been bullied a few too many times this season especially tonight.

Thought Brown showed why he probably hasn't been selected as much as we would like. Silly pens and errors, bit I'm sure he will come good (he wasn't the only one tonight).

Never got going and Saints didn't have to do anything special to topple us. If we are struggling for yardage on our exit sets, we should maybe look to be a bit more expensive but our ball control can be shocking at times.

The few times we ended up in Saints 20 we posted points, we just needed to get up there more often.

The two quick six agains at the end of the first half made me chuckle, keep the numbers even...

Connor is our full back, Reynolds is our stand off and Sneyd is our scrum half. No need to completely change the dynamics of the team.

Agree on the Savelio comment. We were at sea on that half of the pitch, especially in the 1st half. All the trust seemed to be gone

If you watch the Cup match against Wigan Houghton was doing exactly that

Johnstone cheesed me off immensely in that second half.

He was at fault for the Batchelor try, he switched off at marker allowing Knowles to make the break. Then the set after we score he chucks himself over while playing the ball....

What exactly are the dynamics of Reynolds at Stand Off? He has a bit of pace but he doesn’t exactly have ball handling skill like Connor, which is what I want from my stand off.

I must admit I'm struggling to hold on to the optimism I had earlier in the season. Last 3 performances have been really poor and we don't seem to be able to address the basic errors we keep making.

You remove Reynolds you don't get what you see from Connor.

This game showed that Hull can be just as lacklustre under Hodgson as Radford.

By the same token Hull could raise their game under Radford and probably can do under Hodgson too. So I'm not writing you off next week.

Have to say though....Connor had his moments, even Sneyd had his moments. But Josh Reynolds....what's the point of him?

Albert Kelly did well for Brisbane this week and even on a bad day you are never going to not notice him like was the case with Reynolds.

Johnstone been underperforming last few times he has played. Don’t know if he’s trying too hard to take his chance?

Maybe give him more than six games.

Agree, for Fonuas first try, he really took the ball into the defensive line.

He cant be making 50 metre breaks to get us out of trouble every set

Reynolds has come across on his own, in the middle of a lockdown. Some overseas don’t find their feet until a good few months in.

Saints do the basics very well and at speed and they have the forwards to make an impact on any defence.
We are playing with small forwards who are been rolled over and Hodgson has to change the interchanges so we dont have Lane,Fash and Cator on at the same time.
Our bench has no impact at all so i would change the starting 13 and even though Bowden is not match fit i would start him with Sao and let big Chris who is our only real impact forward come off the bench for Bowden.
Hopefully Savelio is fit then we can interchange Lane and Cator
Dont know what to do with Johnstone.Can see the benefit of having two nines but i havnt seen anything from him yet to say he could be a long term replacement for Houghton.He is 23 now so in the age group of Cator and Lane but seems along way behind and is not blessed with any pace that a modern nine needs.
Its a pity that we are having to leave out a strong player like Faraimo unless we give him a run in the forwards

We certainly need to try to change things as presently we are flogging dead horses. Danny H looks as though he’s lost interest again. Tuimavave not doing it for some time. Sneyd too light weight and soft in attack. Do you think Connor will resign with these poor performances?

If Brett H can do something you think he’d have done it by now but our old complacency can be seen again. Second half was marginally better but damage done.

Carlos was poor tonight as were most of the team but to say he's "not been doing it for some time" is nonsense.

And yes, I think Connor will re-sign.
