I have just logged on and I am a little confused as to were this conversation is going - Why do people think that just because of a great weekend when Tom B was brilliant it means he is going to the far far end of the World - He is our player and if in 3 years time he wishes to move on well I wish him luck.

Why not? In RL the kid will make a decent enough living in a minor sport in the North of England, but if he goes to RU he would be a sports star on the world stage. He's far more talented than golden boy ashton. If it wouldn't make you proud that a kid who came through the ranks as Hull went on to achieve recognition in a truly global sport then you're pretty narrow minded.

Plus he'd never have to play against us either

No I wouldn't. If he left for union or the NRL then he'd be going to test himself in a different environment. If he left us to go to another UK club because they offered him a chance to actually win some trophies then I'd blame the club for not achieving their potential allowing him to win them here. I don't expect briscoe to stay at Hull beyond his current contract unless something changes dramatically on the field in the next 18 months or so.

We need to go all out and get him tied down to another long term contract because he is now becomming the hottest property in the game.Everyone will be lining up for Briscoe's services and it would be a disaster to Hull to lose such a talent.

Obviously my 1st choice would be for him to re sign but I just don't believe he will unless we seriously start challenging for trophies. I don't want to see him play against us so would prefer him to go to the NRL or try his hand at Union. If he went to RU he'd probably earn more in a couple of years than he would in his whole career in SL, plus he'd be a household name. I can certainly see why someone like eastmond has done it but he's gone about it in completely the wrong way
