I'm confused by this.

The article I read on the BBC site said that Hull FC had signed up with an NHS domestic violence project - the only one of its kind which focuses upon the perpetrator and not the victim.

Since the NHS and Hull FC have combined to highlight domestic violence issues by focusing on the PERP, then is it not right up their joint street to sign up a bloke who has pled guilty to a charge of common assault in a domestic violence court?

Incidentally, you guys all sound right hysterical. Reardon didn't beat up his wife. He grabbed her arm and caused three bruises. Perspective needed perhaps?

I hope he goes well for you. It'll be interesting if he plays at our pad on Monday, since we have the other half of the duo! (I'm hoping Saints keep Pryce on since I don't think he deserves any punishment other than what the court decides, which I sincerely hope is not jail time)

You missed out contract terminated should he go down (but he won't) or if achilles goes again but other wise spot on, you obviously know him!

I made that point earlier but it went over everyones head I don't condone what he has done or agree with signing him but inthe end perspective is definately needed!

Typical of our board being so 'out of touch' with the feelings and thoughts of decent minded people's morals and standards to what we the supporters want of our club representatives to be doing on our clubs behalf, and be so naive as to what we are willing to accept as good practise.
KH aside the rest of our board are out of towners ignorant to what RL is all about.

I'm totally embarassed by this signing. Especially the day after we just launched a campaign against domestic violence. In fact, the club somehow managed to still mention this campaign in the same fecking article as the Reardon signing. PR nightmare.

I'm seriously considering stopping putting money in the coffers of these people week in week out if this is how they use it. It's beyond a joke now. The decisions at this club are totally pathetic.

What do we do? Petition? Protest? Boycott? What?

We can't keep this going anymore. This is ridiculous. Clear out the board. We could right a book on the number of stupid decisions this club has made at board level. I actually think it would be the biggest in the sport.

I think every-one is still stressed from yesterday..I would like to know if he has any previous or if this is more a domestic ( not condoning it by a long chalk)..must admit in his defence he has made a public apology on fc website more than some we can name..maybe we all need to calm down and get some facts first

Not suprised to see that a SL club has picked Reardon up. Warrington used his offence as a convenient excuse to get rid of him, if Pryce was a Warrington player there is no way he'd been sacked. In truth Reardon had been a very disappointing signing at a club that has made many in recent times. The giving of a new contract last year was met with amazement across the board by Warrington fans and probably considered the worst "signing" the club has made.

Obviously timing is bad for yourselves with the domestic violence campaigh but in truth the biggest thing against him in the case is that it occurred in his ex-girlfriend's house. The violence element was minimal and certainly less than in other cases connected with players from your club.

However what I find most puzzling and I'm amazed at, is that he might play on Monday????? He has been out nearly 12 months and only resumed training very recently. Massive gamble.

The basis of the thinking that he will get Community service is based on the fact that he has no previous whatsoever whilst his mate has!!!

not directly,would have thought any employee getting sent down was looking at the sack in any job,wasnt sure about the injury clause but sounds sensible.

How do you know he hasn't personally apologised to the victim? I don't expect a public apology from him certainly not a forced half baked one either
