If he arrives tomorrow could he realistically be ready for Friday? With Horne out, it could ruin our game in terms of moving Azza again, switching game plan with our bench, Houghton playing more minutes etc. it would also be a big gamble to play him.

“We’re waiting patiently on Jacob’s visa at the moment, we only get a rough guidance period on matters like this, so we’ll have to wait and see.
“Jacob will be the first to find out when his visa arrives and once he gives us the call we’ll get him straight on the first plane over here.
“He’s ready and can’t wait to get started, but realistically we’re probably looking at somewhere in the next 5-10 days before we know exactly when we’ll get him in.”

Oh I know we're doing okay without him but I just don't like how the visa seems to be dragging on. As you say though, it's probably more the efficiency of the border agency in question though. |

Am I the only one that doesn't want to see Miller in black and white for at least a couple of weeks after he arrives.
Jet lag and settling in, getting to know his team mates should take priority IMO. Otherwise IMO we are just setting expectations way to high on him

In an ideal world , I agree, he'd arrive and settle in for a few weeks, maybe not even make the side this year, but if necessity dictates then he'll play sooner. |

I think we can register him as long as he's signed a valid contract which has been lodged with the RFL. IIRC Crocker was a duly registered player even though he never made it here. |

Didn't PG suggest somewhere that he's been sent the "playbook" to study while he waits for the visa. He's been playing recently so should be relatively match fit, so no reason why he "couldn't" play. |

Yeah I think I read/heard that too. Gareth Ellis said the play book was exactly the same as Wests but some had different names. |

I am with you on this one. As long as he is match fit then no problem. At the end of the day, he will have to get used to the system and learn the calls like any other new player. |

i was actually wondering what some on here had been smoking when they were saying that he'll need to wait for injury or drop in form to get his chance.... it was just begging for the roles to be reversed and we are waiting for him, coz not only has injury hit but form was off on the last outing too. typical eh
