Your right,burns cant hold a candle to windy miller,thats why burns made 127 1st grade games in aussie,windy miller and rankin made 26 between them and most of them off the subs bench. Must try harder.

Your points are entirely irrelevant to my post. Burns is unable to hack it in the NRL now and is much more comfortable strutting about shouting the odds for a mid table team in a weak competition. I never mentioned Miller or Rankin.

Given a decent half could earn 3 to 4 times in oz what he's earning in east hull, why do you think he left the NRL?

So every aussie who comes over here is looking for an easy ride,so that includes dobson,fitzgibbon,newton,galea to name but a few at our clubs.If you pay peanuts you get monkeys,thats youve got windy miller and rankin.we had fantastic service from dobbo,galea and newton,before you mention mason I agree,but we have had some great service from our aussies in general as have many other s/l clubs.By your reckoning luke walsh,justin carney,joel monaghan,trent waterhouse etc must be washed up as well.

Fitzgibbon wasn't that good,had better service out of Ogre........that players you mentioned are usually finished in Aus,no chance of S.O.O or test football so they come here,in the case of Monaghan..he had to leave woof woof

Burns isn't as good as Head or Dykes or even Long. The problem with all of those is they spent as much time on the treatment table as the pitch.

Who cares if Burns isn't good enough for the NRL, 90% of the imports in SL aren't.

Look at Dobson, Burns may be a knob, but he is a better half than anything we have at the moment.

Burns epitomises what you want in a halfback,good organiser,passionate,gives 100% every game and makes sure everybody in the team gives their all.For me that describes a top rugby league player. Terry newton,ben westwood are 2 examples,hate them when they were against you,but would love to have them on your side.

He's just decent at SL level. I'd much prefer Smith, Green. Ratchford, Brough to name but a few. Just because we're weak at half back doesn't make Burns better than he is.

But for his ban halfway through last season,burns would have been penriths player of the season last year,which dosnt sound like somebody whose level of play had dropped. Like green and brough,but for me prefer burns and the only benefit of ratchford is he is young and will still improve.Which of your coaches was it let brough go?

You're laughing then if you think Burns is the man good luck to you. Brough went just after the Challenge Cup win but he's a much better player now than he was then.

So why did burns leave the nrl then? Was he frightened or just knew he wasn't good enough? Or maybe the pull of greatfield was too much to turn down?
