Quote ="Dave K."I still think Smith needs to take some of the blame, consistently picking under performing players, I fail to see how the likes of Barron, Balmforth and Staverley and Scott could do any worst that Mcintosh, Houghton, Lovodua and Lane. We look alot worse than either seasons under Hodgson. Ge handling of the Savelio situation is really poor, picking out one player and criticising him I'm public.
It's OK saying he needs to bring his own players in, but we have to get well clear if relegation or players won't come, we look in real danger as it stands and sadly relying on Leigh to do us a favour.
He has to turn us around, a good coach should be able to motivate and improve players, we look worse in both areas.'"
The youngsters idea is a wierd one as throwing them in for the sake of it helps nobody. Barron looked so raw and out of place last season it would be criminal to throw him in.
I dont buy your last comment either, the attitude of the players is appalling. If they dont want to do something it doesnt happen. Dan Tomlinson said ut best earlier if Smith fails here its says more about our club then it does him.
Now people can say things wasnt as bad under previous coaches but they was. Infact we had many of long losing streaks.
They is a rotten culture at the club from the players and even on the terraces. It was never an overnight fix and anybody (and they was alot of you) who thought we would be any different under smith this season are deluded. He cant just wave a magic wand change how we attack, defend, attitude and fitness in the space of 6 months.
