Rumours of Westerman causing discord in the camp - id lose him and Hadley personally

Mini was on an NRL downward spiral before he came to SL yet has done pretty well so i wouldnt worry about Alex Glenns longevity or quality - think he could be superb for FC

Rumour has it Westy scored two tries and never got kissed.

I'd be slightly disapointted if we lose Westerman, but it depends on what he is asking for, as he does miss a lot of games, was an error to leave Hull the last time, so hopefully he has learnt his lesson.

When I mentioned Alex Glenn and JWH to someone at the club who I've known a number of years, he said no chance to JWH as he would command a huge salary. The Glenn rumour wasn't mentioned either positively or negatively, so I think we have a shot. For me, he is a better player than both Mini and Manu

Tomorrow is deadline day for clubs to tell players out of contract this year if they are to be offered new contracts. In other words, they have to be given 6 months notice.

I don't think that it is that straightforward. Clubs also have a "maybe" option, meaning that they would like to offer the player a deal but have some shuffling around to do finance wise. Rovers dropped some players in the brown stuff last year by using this option and deciding against offering a deal last minute. I'm pretty sure all clubs do the same.

I guess "maybe" is always likely to be put forward, it's up to the players to weigh up their options if they have any. Not very friendly if "maybe" really means "probably not". No doubt the agents will be feeding plenty of misinformation to keep the clubs on their toes.
I think players have until the end of May to accept or decline any offers, so I guess "maybe" could be the answer as well. Tricky.
This time last year we'd won 8 out of 10, I don't envy the decision makers, especially as our form is on the up at the moment.

Hadley has suffered from been shuffled around and to see Hadley at his best he needs to be playing in the second row consistently.
When fit i would start Hadley with Minichello on the bench.
Just ask any Wakefield fan how good is Hadley.They would have him back in a flash if he was available

I like Hadley , but you could say most of his time at wakey he was playing hooker do them .

Agree would like him to have an extended run in second row.

… the problem for Hadley is he's had at least 4 head knocks in the last year, I can't see him playing again for quite a while. Hope I'm wrong.

It looks like Ben McNamara is back at the club, i think he went to play Union but he is on the bench in todays Academy match v Leeds.

Pick out the senior players who have played in all the drubbings, those and the ones like thompson, logan who we know arnt good enough or consistent enough to be at a top 4 club.

The seniors should be leading by example when were met with abit of adversity, imo i only ever see Ellis and Taylor and now and again Houghton doing this.

We needed big games from Mini, Manu, Green, Ellis, Taylor and Houghton last night as well as Westerman and Hadley who can be very inconsitent

Id recruit two quality second rowers with decent injury records who can offer leadership and presence Joel Thompson and Alex Glenn perhaps, couple that with a hard hitting prop with a big presence. Bring Brown through too id honestly think about replacing Green with Jack Brown.

Let Jordan Lane, Bienek and Jez Litten benefit from Washys, Thompson and Possibly Fashs release too.

He signed for Hull FC a couple of weeks ago. Has just been keeping his options open and playing for college during the last year I think. There are high hopes for him. Good luck to him.
