The "image" of this forum? What's that then?
Any drop in sales would have been put down to tough economic times. The governments cuts are only just starting to bite and people could be forgiven for not committing to a pass with possible job cuts looming. Some people (not necessarily you) seem to think the recession is over, its only just beginning.
I expect pass sales for 2012 to be hit harder than any other year.

When I first started posting I got a couple of PM's from people saying not to bother as the regular posters on here were mostly to$$ers who gang up to shout you down if they decide you don't toe the forum line. This thread has shown me what they meant, 'disgraceful', 'not normal', 'embarrassment' etc are not phrases I'd normally associate with an opinion on season ticket sales. Yesterday I even had one imbecile telling me that she wouldn't send me an email as it would somehow place her at risk!

You have no more idea than I do how the board would view a drop in pass sales but as I've said several times it would be relative to other clubs' sales, and I'm sure that's one of the main ways the board would try to assess any fall. The recession is over, I realise the effects of it aren't but there's no reason to believe it's biting any harder than it was this time last year.

I think what this does prove is despite reading the boards negativity at times and people wrongly presuming to be speaking for the "majority" in saying "Agar out", "Rule out" etc. most fans are pretty happy with current state of the club both on and off the field.

Hey it's simple, if you don't like the forum don't use it. I hear so much rubbish talked about the attitudes of people on here. It's a public forum and this discussions on here are open to all and all views are welcome.

You have come on and immediately gone on the attack on this forum in terms of your signature, first of all with Wembley 08 and now with Standee so you are hardly here to make friends it seems. You have argued your opinion very strongly and others have done the same so where is the problem? You have ridiculed other people's views but don't like it when people have done the same to you. You have thrown about some personal abuse too and received some.

This forum is not a close shop, there are some people on here that I agree with a lot but it does not stop me disagreeing with them on some subjects and this includes mods fiercely debating issues with each other too. There are no issues on this forum other than that there seems to be a constant doom and gloom about the team, the rugby and the coach which is way OTT imo.

So if pass sales fell it wouldn't be because of Agar it would be because of the economy, but if pass sales stay the same it's a ringing endorsement of Agar. Riiiiiiiiiight.

The forum [iis[/i a closed shop with the agenda largely dictated by the moderators, as shown by your shameful 'thumbs' up to that post about sales being an endorsement of Agar, despite all the evidence to the contrary that you were happy to cite yesterday.

Certifiable dimwits are happily tolerated provided that what they post is positive towards the club, but anyone who doesn't follow the mantra of "more money for the club = good, less money for the club = bad" is told that they are disgraceful, an embarrassment etc.

If things are often said about the attitudes of those on this forum you might want to start listening to them a bit more, it's also often said that fans get the success they deserve and judging by what I've seen on here there seems to be plenty of truth in it.

Not only Standee, Wembley 08, Paul M and jimmyfivebellies, but you've argued that your opinion is right and my opinion is wrong more then once in the relatively few posts you have made. Seems to me that you have not even been on here to discuss Hull and rugby league, but instead to argue and stir things up with other posters. If you don't like it, don't use it.

This forum is definitely not a closed shop. Although I disagree with the positive posters I can see their point of view and can understand why some are happy to see how things go next season in regards to Agar etc. They have seen us move 6 places up the league and are seeing something I am not and go into the new season quietly confident.

You just need to realise that peoples opinions are rarely swayed on forums. Be thankful the mods on our section of the board are less strict than certain other boards on here and we get a lot more leeway with our threads than a lot of others do.

Nope. I would suggest it just means "most" people (or rather speaking for myself and the purchase descision on my pass) are at least as happy with a combination of factors - Agar, Rule, the team, disposable money in my pocket etc. It would take a mathematical formula way beyond my skill to equate exactly why people choose/dont renew there season pass.
To add again from the people I go to games with (5) and not claiming to speak for the majority (like some!) all 3 who had season passes have renewed and the 2 who buy tickets normally have become season pass holders this year.

Then you get others like me who have renewed even though they are not happy with Agar etc

or rugby league is my life, will buy a pass whoever is playing, coaching,(even if we have no confidence in him) and the league we are in

Good work, always thought as much anyway!

Think whether Agar is good enough for Hull is another issue and may have an effect on sales but it's still important for the club we keep selling passes and is good news.I dont think it means the board are happy with agar still feel he will be judged on results rather than season pass sales the way it should be.

I have one of those I wrote and asked the same question after debating it on here with a poster who got terribly upset (not seen him since though), I also wrote to FC who also confirmed, glad you posted it I was called a liar yesterday

One certain Mod on another board whose name may or may not have "Legend" in the title and who may or may not comentate on a certain radio station made me out to be a liar about the league positions on that radio stations Facebook status, he was absolutely adamant that Rovers finished above us and I was totally wrong about the Play Offs being a different competetion. Hope he reads the official letter
