Wouldn't see the point in splashing out on another 30-year-old prop over Moa TBH. If we're going to fork out good money on our last overseas spot, we'd be better off going after a stand-off or centre IMO.
Personally I really do think our recruitment for next year should be about done. Unfortunately with the shape of our squad and the likely timings of departures we can't really make good enough changes where we most need to, so I'd prefer us to now tweak it just a little bit, see how the players go next year, and recruit strongly for 2011.

Just thinking that myself, Myler was offered Salfords biggest ever contract, so reckon wire toppd that. If I remember rightly they upped Pennys' contract a hell of a lot to keep him after his flash in the pan start a year or 2 ago as well. They must be well over.. |

They closed that loop i believe. The latest one i heard was that each of them was given a credit card to spend a couple of grand on each month. Their sugar daddy then paid it off and it wasnt classed on the cap but i dont know if that loop has been closed too.
I also heard there was a fee payable for image rights that was outside of the cap. So Wire may offer someone 20k salary and an 80k image right payment. Not sure of the facts though to be honest but they are definately upto something in my opinion. |
