Out of order is collecting your salary every month without putting in any effort whatsoever to warrant it. Out of order is expecting fans, most of whom earn far less than the players, to shell out their hard-earned money every week to watch so-called professionals toss it off and then expecting them to just accept that lack of effort without comment.
A little sarcastic cheering by way of protest isn't even close.

| Quote ="spegs"Agars response to the fans booing:
"Were all frustrated and it's a tough time. We have got a nervous team that is low on confidence and it's not helping"
Listen you f*cking idiot, the team is low on confidence because they have no leader, they have no leader because you are out of your depth, you are out of your depth because you do not have the ability to coach a team at this level. The rugby we play is p*ss poor and it IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to sort this.
I am not sure if it is a lack of intelligence or plain ignorance but take a look in the mirror, then leave my club alone.'"
thats the second time he has had a go at us fans...so fook em. if we dont have the right to express our feelings i simply wont go anymore...hows that AGAR!!!

| Here is an idea Richard, if you have the balls then go on Mr Rules next radio programme and respond directly to the UN-EDITED issues the fans raise, in fact, £200 to Prekkie if you have the balls to do it, or are you happier shooting your mouth off with no recourse for us

| I wonder what next weeks excuse will be, over the past few months its been:
Injuries (admittedly bad but Friday's team was a pretty decent line up and when we decided to play rugby in the last 10 minutes it did well)
The players
The fans
Sharp (its not Richard's team)
I don't recall one time him admitting any mistakes.
Please do us all a favour and go now Richard.

| Lots of things came to my mind when I read Agars comments and most have been echoed on here already. But what baffles me the most is that one week he is claiming that some players (although you can tell its alot of players) dont really care about rugby and then the next week he complains we dont get behind said players.
Agar and the coaching staff are ruining this club. I can't see how they are still here. Underperforming players are set to get the chop at the end of the year (apparently) so the coaches should too. Thing is, the coaches can get the chop now, allowing a new coaching set up to come in, and make their own decisions on the team for next season

Spot on. Agar has shot himself in the foot big time by slagging off the fans.

| Why a heavy defeat ?
A loss is a loss if its 1 point or ten.
Its the manner of defeat that matters, or win for some people.
A below par, low on confidence Hull team earn a scrappy win and people call for his head.
Rule and gang need to speak up in his defence or get shut asap to avoid it dragging on and reducing our chances of recruiting another coach.

| I have never booed FC. Also, I often applaud an opposition try but I thought the reaction to Celtic's try was OTT. Similar happened with Salford in the cup and they went on to beat us. Thankfully the lads just ignored the crowd and got on with their job on Friday night.
There were some positives to be taken from the game, and let's forget for a moment that "we should be slaughtering teams at the bottom of the table" becasue (a) we have been poor ourselves this season so we are also near the bottom and (b) each team is capable of beating any other this year.
Positives for me (it's soooooooo easy to be negative):
(a) Although we spilled the ball too often we never capitulated - nilled Celtic in the first half and only let one try in although they had had numerous multiple sets throughout the match. We haven't seen that very often this year.
(b) Some great tries at the end - including winger tries from passes (yes, I know Yeaman wasn't playing but I still think that we would have been better with him at centre)
(c) Hall played well (from the start) and defended well.
(d) Tansey fitted in well and played well after only one week with the team
(e) Richard Horne's defense was much better than it has been
(f) Agar picked the team (apart from loose man) that many had been calling for.
(g) the interchanges were much better than previously
(h) Sam Moa was excellent making real inroads at good pace.
(i) although Berrigan dropped a couple of howlers (bad passes etc) he picked some great holes in Celtic's defense and defended well himself.
(j) Hall's try was in a third consecutive set after two drop-outs. We have rarely forced that position this year and managed to score - certainly breaking the defence down from hand rather than from a kick.

But he didn't really "castigate" did he? Nor did he "hit(s) back at critical Hull fans". He actually asked for our "help" (or support). What he said was:
I don't think it's helping, we've got a nervous team that's low on confidence and you can probably see it's not helping. It's there for all to see.
"We're frustrated, we're all frustrated and it's a tough time but there are reasons and very mitigating factors behind that. We are underperforming but it's at times like this we need the crowd's help more than ever."
Now you tell me would it "help" if your boss or workmates or customers booed you if you had a few bad days in the office?

He also said....... "without doubt it has a pretty detrimental effect on the team". So there is no doubt in his mind that the fans are causing the team to play poorly. Nothing to do with the players or his tactics then.

One of the main issues i had on Friday was the lack of any attacking structure, but hey i shouldn't have been suprised as it's the story of Agar's stewerdship. I didn't expect us to rack up 40 points against them, i did expect us to look interested and threatning going forwards....we only did that in the last 20 minutes. I wouldn't have been so narked off as i was if we had created some chances...we looked totally inept.
And as a guy said to me if this is what their reaction is to the Cas hammering god helps us......how true!

Hey look - that's why this is such a great country - free thought, free speech. We're all perfectly entitled to have our own opinions and voice/publish them.
I personally interpret this as not "cause and effect" but exacerbating the position that currently exixts (for whatever reason - be it crap coaching or something else).

No it wouldn't help. Agar is the players' boss, and he publicly slated them for a lack of comitment last week (and has complained about them previously) - does that help?
The fans were doing what Agar himself has already done. If the fans are wrong to do that, then so is our coach.

I'm not someone who boos the team and I'm certainly not someone who cheers the opposition but as fans they have payed for the right to do that if they so wish. In a perfect world Agar has the right to criticise those for doing so. This isn't a perfect world though and once a coach starts on the fans it usually means the end is near.

Look - it's up to you how you react. You are perfectly entitled to do what you want (within the law), particularly this season when we have underperformed so miserably. I just choose not to boo my team and look for some positives instead. It's really what Agar and the team have to do as well - I agree with you and think he should not publicly berate his team like he did last week but, hey, it's a free world as you mention above.

But I don't think he has "started on the fans". I think the headline does not represent his words. This is trying to sell newspapers and sensationalise some fairly innocuous comments.
