Name an example where either a player walked away from a contract against the club's wishes and continued playing elsewhere without a transfer fee or any consequences, or a club got rid of a player without a payout, a breach of contract, or the player wanting to leave.

Think your fighting a losing battle, people are having trouble seeing the difference between a "contract meaning nothing" and a situation in which clubs and players agree that ending the contract is better for all parties envolved, be it in the form of compensation, club don't want the player need the cap space etc.

I'm particularly staggered by the comment about 'tens of examples'. Even if that were true (which it clearly isn't), that would be an incredibly small sample of exceptions upon which to base the claim. Even if you just take the first 25 squad members and 12 as the typical number of SL clubs over it's lifetime, that's 300 player contracts at any one time. Even if the average contract length was 3 years (and I bet it's more likely closer to 2), that's 1,800 contracts during SL. But there are 'tens of examples' proving that they mean nothing, the many hundreds that haven't been broken don't matter.

And I'm being prudent here, 3,000 could be a more accurate estimate.

Burnsy did an piece on the world cup this morning,having a dig as per normal,with various guests on.The first on was AP singing the praises of the world cup etc.
I didn't catch all the interview due to the Mrs bleating on about Matalan and arriving at our destination.He did say that,as we know, that the club will be looking at various players,but what was interesting and the bit I didn't here all of was that any player signed is in the country now and no problems with any visa.Now again I may have heard it wrong.Did anyone else here the whole thing.

I've been thinking it for two years mate, well said. People come on here as it's a good source of information for potential rumours and tip offs. Instead you have to waste time trawl through pages of grown adults squabbling.
