With a different ref you'd have only got one try. Your first, it could be argued, Cooke's hand touched the ground before he passed it (seen a similr one disallowed for Sinfield). Your second there was a guy (can't remember who now) wha was in front of Cooke when he kicked it and encroached within 10 meters of Tansey and Cooke's in the second half had an obstruction that took two a would-be tackler out of the way right on the line. Jordan Tansey's pass off the ground was fine because he had been released in the tackle and although the tackler took hold again that was a second tackle where the ball carrying arm was not in contact with the ground. And the forward pass was not forward. You got two tries from kicks (probably both of which could have been disallowed (the second having an outrageous piece of luck bouncing off the posts but apart from that were never in the game. You were poor because we didn't allow you to play but you won because the ref you always moan about at Rovers was a homer. Having said all of that - nothing can change it, it's a result and we have to move on.

Yes you are wrong..the tackle on Tansey was complete. Momentum rule only applies in the act of scoring a try.

Was momentum rule at its best imo. We played really well (excluding opening 6 mins) we showed pride, passion and above all we showed we can play as a team. Craig Hall needs to be a constant in the fc side. he is a very good player and one of the best that game for me. I believe a draw would have been fair but it was not meant to be this time. Looking forward to next season i think we will white wash them...with Fitzy and Long coming in and Luaki hopefully cementing his place, if we can keep injury free, i think top 4 next year i really do. Was dissapointed to hear less that our allocation sold...but personally i would not pay to be that far away from the pitch in a dump like that. Well done to the boys...we showed once again that the Hull derby is the BEST derby and only TRUE derby in world rugby league!!!

Not understanding the part that claims we were 'lucky' though unless you missed the 'un' bit out by mistake?

Watched it a couple of times now and still struggling to understand how we got beat. We were the better team for 70 mins. Two poor 5 min spells at the start of each half did for us and the ref didnt help. As you said to me, if we played like that for the previous games this season we would have won a lot more games and potentially be top 4.

The fact that all 17 players looked interested might have helped!

Whats difficult to understand about that? We looked like scoring whenever we got the ball, we defended well and Rovers scored a lucky try or two whilst we didnt get any luck at all. Couple more wins and some more confidence can only improve that kind of performance too.

If we had played like that all season we would be top 4 and would win a lot more than we dont. IMO.

Yup, so why havent they all season?

TBF we won our first 5 games of the season playing at that sort of intensity. The problem is that it cant be maintained through a full season.

Personally i thought both teams were pretty poor and neither are worthy of top 4 billing.

You really do spout some poop sometimes.It was a typical blood and guts derby and i think we shaded it.With a little bit of luck we would of come away with the spoils.

I think its based more on the fact that for once all our players looked interested and we didnt stick to a 5 drives and poor kick tactic.

Even with all those missing, I think only in one centre position and our starting props are the only positions in the 13 where we didnt have a full strength team

Indeed, ive said all along we are good enough in most positions should we actually play to the right/tactics with enthusiasm.

Compared to the level of skill on show at the JJB on Friday night it was very poor. 2 sides struggling for form
