I think people need to be patient before making "decisions" about renewing their passes (I say that loosely as most people are just being OTT whingers when they say this). Yes, Lynch and Ellis aside, the announced signings have underwhelming, but we are trying to build a squad, not just a match day 17. We are short on good quality youth to back up the starting line up, so when these inevitable injuries happen, we are left in a lot of trouble. Bringing in the likes of Pitts, Watts, Arundel, Crookes (if he comes) to compliment the few decent young players (who are nearly there but not quite yet) we do have like Crooks, Nicklas, Bowden, etc. will hopefully bare fruit in a few years time when they've developed and can replace players we've already got.

Horne should have gone a long time ago. I'm undecided about Seymour. He might just need a more than average HB partner to show how good he is.

I would be happy with Seymour/Chase next season but we would still need a class FB and Horne/McGoldrick is way short of that.

That squad lacks so many qualities. I would hope that we have some serious top class recruitment to add to it or we'll have another "jam tomorrow" season in 2013.

Seymour would be better with a decent h/b and a pack he can work with...agree about fb....bet all those whingers wish we still had Mckinnon.

Why can't we? If we can afford to pay them off after this season is over, it won't count on the cap AFAIK. The salary cap only includes money paid to players that have played, so if we pay them off next season then it won't affect anything.

Again, comes down to whether we have (and are willing to spend) the money.

I wasn't McKinnon's biggest fan but you're right that we badly miss him at FB. You're also right that our pack is embarrassingly light and lacking depth.
