Cookes career spiralled down and out but Briscoe got a very good 4 years from Rovers. Not entirely bad when you look at how both clubs performed over those 4 years.

I'd love for Manu to stay as there isn't really another player like him in SL (except for Puletua, as Mrs B pointed out). However, if he did leave for more money - and you couldn't really blame him as it will be his last contract - it wouldn't be the end of the world as we would still have Ellis, Tickle, Westerman, Whiting, maybe Aspinwall, as well as Kent coming through who looks good.

Hull cant afford to lose O'meley, moa and manu in 1 season whether they signed ellis or not

I think his point was that they both peaked at Hull FC, both in terms of personal form and team results.

No where has it stated that those three players are definately leaving.

Will all three stay? unlikely given the emergence of Bowden and the signing of Pitts / Ellis.

But people stressing out about it is largely pointless. Wait until the club or player formally announces something.

That depends very much on who they're replaced with. Ellis is at least as good as Manu, so no worries there. If Moa and O'Meley are replaced with players of equal or better quality, there'll be no cause for concern whatsoever.

Expect a 2 year deal with an option of a third based on a percentage of games played by steamboat willie all in the clubs favour to be announced when it best suits the club, not the fans.

All this rather have Manu talk is rubbish. Ellis is by quite a distance the better player.

But the rumour seems to have been created and propagated on RLFans, there doesn't seem to be any foundation in it.

For one thing, other clubs cannot talk to Manu yet unless Hull give them permission. As Hull have already stated that they have opened contract talks with Manu then it seems very contradictory that they would then allow other clubs to talk to him.

Agents will still talk to other clubs, you honestly cant think that no talks take place till september 1st

But the thing is, until a couple of months ago the unrealistic aspect of Manu & Ellis both playing for Hull wasn't Manu.

seriously though the anti tampering law is unenforceable as clubs just say they talk in general terms to a range of agents and as long as no contracts are officially signed before the deadline it's very difficult to prove anything.

Maybe he is to become part of a swap deal with Arundel to go back to his former club



Surely Manu is holding out for as big a contract as he can get, this is likely to be his last big one. Might have to look outside FC for it though.

A smaller club will offer him more money, I'd be surprised if Saints or Hudds did though.

Ellis is the better player clearly, he will however offer the same as Tickle does on the right. Manu offers something different. The ability to constantly break the line. I think those three starting with Westerman off the bench would be the best combination in the league.

Manu moa and omeley wont be here next season the way its looking ,and fc can only blame themselfs manu should have been signed on exstention last year ,Ellis on twice as much money but is he twice the player of manu ,i dont see that tbh
