I feel as disappointed with the news of this signing as I did on that April fools day when the club announced Agar’s contract extension. Shocking signing.

That's about where I am. Maybe the club manufactured a rumour that he'd be coming for next season as well, so that it didn't seem so bad when we signed him for this year!

listen if he comes in for the remainder of the season and runs his blood to water and helps a play off push then many on here will have to apologise to him, on the other hand if he acts like a fadge then coat, door on way out etc at the end of the season job done

but we are a bit thin at present, little grunt and few grizzlers in the team presently so he will be useful... given all the bad e written about him on here last 48 hours i hope he plays out of his skin personally

He has nothing to lose, Cas were not going to offer him a deal after this season,by coming to Hull on a short term deal he has the chance to impress with a possibility of a longer deal.

Awful news to wake upto. Overrated player the wrong side of thirty. An absolute penalty machine. And as has been mentioned, with Watts and Westerman, Gentle will have his work cut out with discipline.

Just been reading a piece o the cas forum and one poster there may have hit it on the head re the penalties he gives away "RM gives quite a few penalties for holding down because he is forever trying to slow the play down to allow the other jokers "his team mates"time to get back in the defensive line"

If, as the Hull FC website says, we are going to be short on players, then yes I can sort of understand it - but only to the end of the season. Whst happened to giving youth a chance? Could it be that our youngsters are coming up short too often and PG has changed tack?
Strange though that there has been no official announcement as yet.

Problem is half the kids are out injured too
we cant drag first timers into a match versus Peacock and bailey etc, its a no contest and damaging to their development to get their s handed to them

I understand we're struggling with injuries at the moment but this signing completely goes against the direction that Gentle said he was taking the club into.

Salary cap restraints and availability at this point in a season is always going to mean he will fill holes with stop gaps just to make up a squad when we have so many injuries

are we ever going to have a decent injury free run in any season
