I wouldn't be too worried anyway, Seymour came with baggage and by all accounts has been the model pro this year. Gentle doesn't suffer fools and if he does come here with an ego I'm sure he will knock him down a peg or two.

Whatever people think about Chase and his crappy attitude, he's the current MOS and a quality player.

I wouldn't really want Chase at the club. I'm not a fan of him as a person, and he treats the clubs that he is at with disrespect and doesn't seem trustworthy.
There are other halfbacks in SL that I would rather sign instead of him.

If it were as easy as saying who shall we sign, Brough or Chase, then it would be Brough every time. But Chase is a top drawer player and if we have the chance we should sign him. Being at a bigger club with better players and a coach who will take a hard stance towards any trouble might change him. At the minute he is a very big fish in a very small pond.

If Chase could change his attitude then I would take him, yeah. I just think that our signings have to be more than good players, they need to have the correct mindset and motivation, too.
Chase is a player who has been to court in Aus for breaking someone's jaw in a fight, has broken a player's jaw over here with a cheap shot, and has been suspended by his club on more than one occaision (I think).
If he would sort out this side to himself then I'd happily take him, but I just don't have the faith in him to do that, just like I didn't have the faith in Tansey.
He's a quality player, though, no doubt about that.

Manu was sacked by St George for a nightclub brawl (feel sorry for whoever that poor guy was) and Seymour got into numerous scrapes. People can change. It is worth the risk imo.

The odds on Chase playing for Hull are between 0 and zero, he is under suspension at Cas at the moment and it may be some time before that is resolved .

The combination of Chase, Westerman and Arundel reuniting again , plus adding a few more into the mix is a recipe for disaster.

IMO i think we need a half with a decent kicking game so IF chase and seymour where to be our halves next season i think we would lack in this department again.

I imagine I will get massively shot down for this, but the kicking game is the most overrated part of the game. The chase is far more important than the kick.

so, a really good kick, separating the full back and winger/centre, that stops in the in goal is just the same as a kick that lands in the arms of the fullback?

a kick is only as good as the chase, I agree on that, but chasing to make a tackle in 20 or chasing a ball bobbling around in the in goal are two very different chases, with very different potential outcomes.

if chase is availble, sign him, current MOS and a top player, also current international abeit for the wrong country

any team who wants to kick on to the next level(such as ourselves) needs to be siging better than what other teams have, and chase is arguably the best 6 in the comp...

Did put on here 2 weeks ago Ellis was going shortly and we were getting mcgoldrick . Not sure if it's for just this season or long term .
