| Really can't see Morgan or John Kear coming in. I'd put money on Kear ending up at Castleford. Paul Cullen is also available but doubt it. Brian Noble would probably be the obvious choice due to pedigree, Pearson could afford him and would send out a signal that Pearson wants to invest, only concern with Noble is whether he has enough hunger for the role.
Anderson is interesting, his contract was terminated by parramatta after a very poor 2010 campaign but has proven himself in the super league. Would Pearson want to make his mark by signing a coach who is perceived as a failure in Australia though? The more I think about it, Noble seems to fit, during half time today he inclinated at a return to coaching and Hull has to be one of the most attractive options.

| Would like Anderson but if Noble comes in I hope all the fans get right behind him and the club. If we're going to kick on the fans need to get right behind the new man and give him some time to get the right structures in place.

He took Parra to a Grand Final in 2009. - not a failure.

Anderson took Paramatta to the Grand Final from 8th the year before though, so he wasn't a complete flop.
I also think Noble would have the 'hunger' to be a success as FC. Despite his impressive coaching record, many still dismiss his record (Bradford are dismissed as being flat track bullies, Wigan have done better under McGuire etc) and I think he'd want to win his reputation back.

Don't get me wrong, I rate both Noble and Anderson, who wouldn't, but just trying to put myself in Pearson's shoes. "A failure" is harsh but The Eels finished 15th out of 16 in 2010 and will Pearson want to make his first big signing be open to the obvious criticism of last years performance when Noble is potentially available. I'm just speculating but between the two Noble edges in my opinion.

His statement will most likely be 'I don't know where these rumours have come from, us team is about to win the Grand Final from 8th place, we have been training better than Queensland this week, the bar will be upped for the rest of the season'

| I'd have Morgan as coach. There I have said it now. MIght have to stop singing a few songs, but hey ho. Would choose MOrgan over Noble if it was between the two. Think he would have a massive point to prove.
That said, would prefer a current NRL coach / assisant with potential.

Because there is no chance what so ever he would leave his NRL job, and his job coaching the World and 4 Nations champions to come back here!

Probably because nobody can think of a single reason why he'd want to drop his current job for us.

I loved Martyn Sadler in last weeks League Express, bemoaning Hulls low crowd against Wigan. He said AP would have to improve marketing to get the fans back.
No mention of the fact that Agar's rugby philosophy is killing people's interest.

| Can't for the life of me understand why some people on here dismiss Noble and consider him a has been etc, etc - are the likes of Tim Sheens or Wayne Bennett has beens as they have also been coaching for years?!
The guy has a [uproven[/u track record, even last year at Celtic he achieved over and above what was expected (look at them this year!!!).
When you listen to him on SKY or the BBC he is clearly itching to get back into coaching and i think he would jump at the chance to coach Hull and i also think he'd take us where we want to be....people knock his time at Wigan but he was minutes from taken them to a GF!
For me it's Noble, Anderson, Hasler or Folkes.

| IF this is true, then I would welcome Noble in a short term arrangement, to put us back on our feet like he did with Wigan and leave us to a new, young coach with the desire to succeed. Perhaps Nobby could appoint a young coach that he knows as his assistant and then move upstairs to let the new guy take charge after a couple of years of rebuilding. I would imagine he will know any number of young coaches to work with him.

| Hope to god this is true, and about time too. AP has seen in his short reign what us supporters have seen for the last few seasons that Agar is not up to the job. I'd be happy with Noble and even Morgan in charge.

| Kearney is a complete non starter, he won't leave the NRL this early in his career.
I would be surprised to see Anderson come back to SL, part of the reason he went home was for family reasons. Would be my first choice though if he would come back.
Morgan will go to Cas, think all the rumours about coming here as just wind ups.
I think Millward and Noble are likely options more than the likes of Taylor and Anderson.

Anderson has taken 2 different teams to NRL grand finals so I dont see how he can be viewed as a failure.
The big issue that lead to Anderson getting sacked at Parra was the rumours about racist remarks made to Polynesian players.
