I agree, Kearney would be fantastic and I'd like to think he's kept some connections with us. But would he leave the NZ job?

Everyone has their price. But given our low budget coaching principles, unlikely that Kearney's price would be in our range. Madness when we're investing shedloads into the Boulevard redevelopment and bringing in class players to then skimp on coaching.

Bloody he'll we got slaughtered 52-0 the other week but no one was calling for jks head! We responded in the right way at hkr and that's what you should be looking for against Bradford. Even if you don't win as long as the performance is improved then that should tell you you're on the right track. This is Agars team now so give him time to prove himself with his players. If it's nit going right ten to fifteen games in then yes you have every right to question him but at least give him a chance!

Don`t worry mate,if we win next game Agar will have roses strewn in his path.

Fact - Wildcats are not Hull FC and just like Kear will never coach Rhinos he will not coach FC.Kear is at his level at Wildcats and why should you get rid ??

Kearney wins world cup wirh Bennett as his assistant..........without him they fail miserably in tr-nations.....would go for a more proven coach for next season if Agars either gets the bullet/not renewed

I know what your saying and it can be tedious but I can also see everyones point,
The main issue is as I see it there is absolutely no consistency in performances at all, we are jumping from awesome to mediocre at best week in week out, that isnt the players thats all about the coaching staffs ability to get a team up for every match OR NOT as the case may be, we all expected a loss at Wigan but no one expected to get our ass hung out to dry did we!!
Thats where the coaches are to blame not the players...
Does Agar tell them to go out and make it up as they go along NO!!! his game plan is beginning to look very flawed again

Now, I'm not convinced by Agar, and I've made no secret of it on here, but I honestly find this thread OTT. With the start we've had to the season, he's bought time. I didn't see the game on Friday, but the bottom line is that we lost away to the best looking side of the season so far, who were also looking for a response to their first loss. Hardly disastrous stuff that demands swift action.

For me, I'm now waiting for a bad spell, as that's when a good coach proves his worth and when I feel Agar can be judged properly with 'his team' and no more excuses. With the amount of changes we've had in the close season inconsistency is inevitable. Let's wait and see what sort of team we settle down to be every week before making up our minds, not chopping and changing it with every game.

I cannot believe this threads knee jerk reaction to an away defeat to the top of the league team.

Going to happen every time we lose mate.

It's a reaction to a loss to the league leaders with what appeared to be a non existant game plan.

Or,there could have been a game plan,but the players just didn`t execute it?
As I wasn`t there,just a thought,thats all.

Perhaps we should sack Long, Horne, Fitzgibbon and Berrigan then. Afterall these are the main playmakers who should be implementing the game plan.



FFS the reaction after the loss at Crusaders wasn't this strong.

We are not the best team in the league, get over it. If we finish 4th or above we will have done extremely well.

I think the Wigan game was disappointing because in the previous games our pack has been pretty dominant. We had full availability in the forwards and were in a game where we could have gone top. The fact that the intensity was, if anything, a step down from previous games was the main disappointment for me. As you say we're not the best team in the league and Wigan are at the moment, but to only just keep them to below 50 and to only get 18 of our 24 points when they'd taken their foot off the gas was very disappointing to the 2000 fans who travelled and most of whom probably had to leave work early/make special arrangements to do so.

I think there is some absolute pillocks out there, sack agar after a poor performance at wigan, the same wigan team who are sitting pretty top of the tree, who have just about demolised every challenge put in front of them. And should have beat bradford. Also gone to wire and won not many teams will do that this year. But hey lets sack the coach that has turned us from pretenders to maybe even contenders. Its one game. Get behind the coach the players and see what we do against bradford.

I think Agar is an ok coach. Not a bad one, but not a great one. I am not calling for his head, but I am concerned about the renewing of his contract. His recruitment and retention has been spot on. If we end up doing reasonably ok this season, I think it will be a case of the team of players carrying the coach.

I think we need and deserve a top class coach, especially for the young players coming through. To many young players do not seem to fulfil their potential.
