Said it so many times. We need to exploit the referees who cannot keep up with the pace of SL. Saints did it excellently last night (as well as everything else). That level of rugby deserves better officiating. Hopefully we find some of our cup magic again and we can meet them at Wembley for a real classic.

Ultimately once again we were our own worst enemy. We really are a very good but very dumb squad.

On the bright side, I’ve had a shiite week and unloading it all on Kendall et al has helped no end

Good support player is Shaul, but his ability to pass and create an overlap is sadly lacking.
Our attack looks more cohesive, with either Connor,or Wynne at FB..
With Westerman leaving, our attack next season will be unbalanced, with only 2 pivots..if Shaul is FB..

I'm not sure it makes much difference who full back is when the ball they receive is slow and telegraphed to the opposition like it invariably is

so.. Basically we need a full-time attack coach?

The 2nd try, by Fages looks like a knock-on on the challenge in the air. The 4th try, by Grace was a knock-on and offside, and the 3rd try, by Coote is debatable whether Sneyd was tackled without the ball and was Naiqama onside?

These amateur, park game rules need to be sorted out. We can't play some games using a video referee and some games not. It's a different set of rules, for different teams, for different games.

Anybody know why we had a try chalked off when it was 18-0? Think it was Ratu who got it down. Pivotal time of the game & a big call from a referee who never usually has the bottle to make a decision.

Not a clue, I didnt see anything. I'd assume it was for either obstruction or pulling back or pushing a player.

We did come out on the wrong end of the 50/50 calls. That's taking nothing away from Saints who were great in both attack and defence. I don't even blame the ref, it's the different rule structure for different games that's the problem.

That's the problem without the video ref, we don't get to see it again. I'm not doubting that we foul played, because the officials must have seen something to disallow it, but with the technology available to us today, it's just so amateurish that it's not used for non TV games.

On the officiating I thought it was poor to be honest. The amount of times we were attacking in the St’s 10 to be then penalised for what seemed anything Kendal could think off. He ignored St’s time & again offside, markers not square, Percival in front of the Lomax/fages a number of times when the kicked and blatant knock on in the build up to a try. Thought he harshly penalised for minor stuff yet St’s free to exploit same stuff. Thought the officials as a group were poor. If Kendal is the future the game is in trouble and about time Ganson was given the boot as the standard is not getting better.
That said it’s not the reason we lost as were just so and purveyors of our own downfall in the main but the officials were poor.

Our home form has been mediocre for years. Even in 2016 we struggled to be consistent at the KCOM. Our last good return at home was in 2012 when we we went W10 D2 L1. Since then we've won 50 drawn 1 and lost 42.

I've no idea what the answer is but it needs fixing.

No doubt saints are the best team in the league, but every time I’ve seen them this season , they seem to be playing to a different set of rules to the opposition and the ref helps them . Saints are good enough without a leg up from the ref

Thats the simple option rather than replacing Radford with an Aussie coach that would bring more ideas and freshen the place up.

Well done on the win, Saints were probably not at their best but still streets ahaed of the rest of the league. I guess the test is van you maintain this standard until the Grand Final.

Just saying what I’ve seen , In my opinion you get a lot of calls going your way , Salford game , Huddersfield game , thought you was lucky in both, I said your the best team, just that I think for whatever reason , the refs clearly favour you

I echo your sentiments, IF we have ambitions of emulating Saints, we have to adopt their philosophy..

Doesnt matter which players we sign, its the ideology of a NRL Head Coach, which is the difference ..
We could hypothetically sign the entire Saints squad, in 3 months time, they would be churning out the same type of performance,as witnessed on Friday..IMO..

Unfortunately, the owner doesnt share this same vision...
