Leigh could still be in the MPG. If they lose to Hudds and Leeds and beat Batley, they'll be on 10 points.
If Hudds beat Leigh and Leeds but lose to Rovers, 10 points.
If Rovers win all three (London, Featherstone and Hudds), they'll be on 10 points.
And with Leigh having a far worse points difference, that could leave them 4th. Big game still against Huddersfield. In fact, all of Huddersfield's games are incredibly important to the outcome of the MPG!

In fairness it wasn't him who handed out these big deals to their overseas journeymen and the money drain that is Campese. As we have found out the hard way it can take time to clear out the deadwood.
as much as it would be as funny as hell to see them back in the Championship, from a financial point of view I hope they stay up. The Derby is by far the clubs biggest money spinner, and the rivalry keeps the season entertaining, the Magic Weekend wouldn't be half as exciting if we were just playing a random team. |
