Minor technicalities have a habit of coming back to bite you. We're still talking about the defamation thing, right? Or Albert Kelly's previous transgressions that you seemed so certain were non-existent?

The glaring one is the 'couple' of higher league placings. It's four just in SL. five if you count 2010, which I wouldn't, admittedly. Going back the 30 years he mentioned would include '86, '87, '88 and '92. Hardly a record of glory in an unrecognised, trophyless two-team competition, but 'a couple' - pfft.
In fairness Dave K gives Rovers 'a couple' of play-off wins - if we're talking SL, that's over crediting. But with the other hand he tries to take away Watts as a rovers-trained player. Now, while his good seasons have tended not to come in pairs to this point in his career, and the club-trained rule has been binned off, he did meet all of requirements to qualify at Rovers. As would Abdull at Hull, or the lad Oakes if he sticks with us for long enough. Unless Academy means under-16s, which now I think on it perhaps it does. Lost an argument with myself there.

Abdul signed for us at 16 and played for the 16s and 19s, how old was Watts when he signed for you and did he either play for your academy teams? He may be classes as club trained but if he can hardly been claimed as a youth product if he never played for your youth teams.

Was Abdull still eligible for 16s when he joined Hull? He'll have turned 17 very early in that season, but I guess if you're 16 at the start of the year you qualify for the whole season?

Watts was 17 when he joined rovers, assuming his dob is correct on Wikipedia. He only played 3 games in 2008 (pretty good for a 17/18 year old forward) so I assume he played quite a few games for the 19s or 20s, whatever it was that year. 2009, he spent time (possibly the whole season) on loan with Gateshead, before becoming a regular in the 17 for most of 2010. The rule was 3 years with the club while eligible for the 20s iirc. Which was a bit strange when it went from 16s, 18s and 20s to 16s and 19s.

As I say, it looks like they've done away with that rule, so that's one thing fewer to argue about.

Whereas your posts prove you don't know how games Taylor played,Watts is a oaf and had 1 good season,when in fact he has been consistent for the time here and no trouble.The fact that you have got a hide on over 2 ex players of yours prove you haven't got the calibration of prop at your club or pack as we do.Take Watts and Taylor out and we can still go in with Ellis,Bowden,Green,Feka and Masi at props with Mini,Frank,Manu,Hadley,Whiting,Fash,Downs,Turget in the 2nd row with Abdull and some of the other 2nd rowers covering 13.That pack would still pi$$ all over your pack.

'Rough patch'......or grossly underperformed for a decade. It's all how you look at it. But rough patch accurate for hull 's last decade naaa...

Out performed Rovers in the past thirty years....by how much exactly. The head to head record in superleague suggests not. When did hull last finish in the top 4? More recently than Rovers? If your desperate to justify your recent history comparing with a club that spent over a decade in the lower divisions and you had a decade start on in superleague then you really have not pulled up any trees have you?

Rovers haven't missed Taylor and Watts as we've done ok for props. Though hull do seem to rely on us for front rowers recently.
Our back row however is a different issue.

Within the last decade - give or take - we've won the Challenge Cup and appeared in a GF. Plus two more losing CC Final appearances. Hardly 'gross' underperformance when compared against most SL clubs, including Rovers.
