I've heard a lot of whining today about Moa not playing. With all due respect to these people had Moa played it would not have changed a thing. Not a thing.

You're right, that was the least of our problems. Agar could field the full Aussie squad and make them play like 5 year olds, clueless!

Of course it wouldn't have single handedly changed the result but it would have been one of a number a things that would have given us a much better chance.

1) Moa in. Dowes out

2) Turner or Tansey in at HB. Washbrook not good enough and out

3) Some kind of game plan that doesn't include the opposition running out of steam

More important than all of the above, not having a total fookwit clown in charge of a big big club.

What does Agar have in that A4 folder of his? Always on his lap either open or closed. Intrigued.

Have to disagree with that - it is an important problem. If the coach doesn't pick players on form then that doesn't encourage players to improve their performance to stay in the team. And that means the team performance suffers. I'm sure we wouldn't have won with Moa playing, but his previous performance merited selection over another of the props selected today. It would also have helped the balance of the team IMO.

Compromising pictures of various members of the board if he recent contract extension is anything to go by.

It was a genuine question with a touch of tongue in cheek but I get the angst.

I agree with all of you points, but as to what influence it would have had on the result is negligible. Its all academic now though, isnt it?

So do we ignore it and let Agar make mistake after mistake after mistake?

What the hell can we do about it, I ask you. Personally I was not happy about his appointment in the first place. Coaches come and go but the one constant are the fans. Hull fans are the most passionate and faithful in the world and it should always stay that way, regardless of the numpties in charge. I will be going next week to support my team.

Its not going to happen though is it. The problem is they have been too quick to do this in the past. Johnny Kear, anyone. Persoanlly I have nothing against Agar. Seems like a nice enough bloke who gets on with the players very well. It seems to me though that he is learning his trade in the hot seat. Slowly. He could become a great coach maybe 5, 10 years form now. IMO we need a coach who has already paid his dues at the highest level - someone like Brian Smith, for example. We could keep Agar on for player recruitment, U20 duties.

Don't know what it would take for Rule to sack our inept coach. Player recruitment, the reason JR always trots out is no reason to give someone a 2 year extension. As RA is the cheap option JR knows his proud boast of being one of the most profitable clubs in Super League is safe....in the short term at least. The reason he survived the trauma's of last year was it wasn't 'his team', well it sure is now and that makes our ineptitude all the harder to swallow. Settle in for the next two years.
