It's hardly breaking news that virtually all SL clubs are run on very tight margins and are loss-making despite several having the same levels of turnover as us. £40,000 should be seen in the context of the bottom line, which is close to zero, not the top line. Why do you suppose Rovers have put prices up 23%?

don't think there are many business's that would admit they are not performing as they should and put the prices up before they have solved the problems

Where did they say that was because of previous season's performance ?IIRC it was a subsidised attempt to attract a new fan base ?

Royal Mail only have the monopoly on the final process (delivering mail), it is a free market and Tnt, DHL etc deliver mail (packets), they now own a large percentage of mail ( letters) and work with royal mail, they process the mail themselves then hand it over to royal Mail for final delivery.

Seriously there must be thousands upon thousands upon thousands of companies whose shareholders are less than impressed with performance. Do these same shareholders also stipulate that the companies must not increase their product prices until all problems are solved and they are profitable ? Of course they don't
