Doesn't surprise me this result, Widnes are a good team and we clearly were guilty of underestimating them. Fair play to them, best team won on the night. I think they will better than most people think this season, possibly dark horses for a play off place

Seymours career ended tonight unfortunately.

As for us. Not good enough clearly, but don't need panic stations yet, I think gentle made a couple of mistakes tonight that he will learn from. I think we have a good team that just needs to believe a little more and play more like a team.

It actually ended month's ago some just failed to accept it.

For the most part the pack did enough IMO. I thought Houghton was way below standard again - and Heremaia equally as bad although again when Seymour was subbed it just proved that Heremaia can't play in the halves. The rest of the forwards did reasonably well - not stunning but enough. Or at least it would have been enough had we had any link whatsoever between our 9,7,6 and 1. There was none. The flat lines, mis-handling and panic that passes for our halves and three quarters lost us the match. in defence Widnes knew to just run at Seymour and Arundel and the rest would fall into place. They looked nervous and bereft of any confidence. It's hard to see what goes on during the week when you see such a stuttering effort in the game. I don;t think any of the players have any confidence in Seymour and it shows. But there are a number of backs who aren't stepping up to the mark and letting us down big time.

I must admit that you were unrecognizable from the team that played the first hour last week. Lineham can take credit from his efforts but I think the most disappointing player (no not Seymour) was Westerman.He looked promising last week but reverted to being a penalty machine. Plus what is wrong with Briscoe? His decision making was shocking .

Widnes are average, make no mistake. They just played a team with no passion or heart, which is unforgiveable.
There does not seem to be any structres in place to cover Holdsworth not playing. That's down to the Coach.
I'm not interested in the excuses that will come out after that. I'm pretty sure Pearson won't either. I'm also sure he's not the type to accept that level of mediocrity.

Your quite right Widnes were the better team and congrats but this is the Hull FC forum and our inept performance warrants discussion. Last week we also got beat but we had real go but were beat by the better side. Tonight with a 53% completion rate, 16 handling errors god knows how many penalties we would of struggled to beat a pub side.

We have plenty of good players who at the moment cannot seem to execute the basic skills of not missing tackles, not dropping the ball,.not throwing out bad passes, not giving away endless penalties etc. Get back to basics, stop believing our own hype, and lay into Cas next week with some real aggression and lets turn this season around before the doom-mongers get a hold and we all end up on prozac!

HAd to work till 2030 so put teh game on as soon as i got in and what a feckin disgrace. Full team utter gash which usually only means one thing. Tbh even if we had Bellamy coaching this lot i still think we'd be gash. Some really bad players out there and tbh i dont think i can think of one who can come out of that with any credit.
