At least the forecast for Thursday at present looks good but knowing our luck there'll be a three hour down pour between 7pm and 10pm.

This game and yesterday's against Wigan are the real benchmarks of how the coach is going. Of course no-one expected a win at Wigan but a it isn't too much to ask for a close game. So far this season has been poor but morale hasn't totally collapsed yet, but a couple of heavy defeats could kick start an accelerating death spiral. The first episode turned out badly and I dread to think what's coming. The really sad thing is, no matter how well Cas are playing this year they are a team you should be beating at home, even if it is a tough battle - especially so when they have the distraction of a CC semi final on the horizon. That Cas will deservedly be favourites for this is worrying to say the least.

No way we "should" be beating Cas at home.
Over 21 (?) rounds they've proved they're the real deal this year when a lot of people (me included) expected them to tail off and be in the play off fight.
In the same time we have proved how poor we are this year and are already out of the play off fight with 6 games to play.
Saying we should be beating them is disrespectful to Cas and just pure deluded.

I think boycotting games is coming up soon the Cas game will be well under 10k and I can see even the derby taking a dip in attendance.

Maybe, just maybe this is the key if AP see's the crowds vanishing before his eyes he may actually get a picture of next season with crowds of 5-6 and season pass sales being less then 4k.

Doing nothing is not an option because if he does not act and the slide continues I think the club is heading towards a real crisis.

I have a Cas shirt and I do go to Cas now and again................ maybe more atmosphere in the North stand as there is very little left in our stands anymore. They will take us apart Thursday and with certain sources already quoting how many injuries we have the scene is set

That's the point though. We are nowhere near Cas at the moment, and with all due respect to Cas, that is shocking when you look at the resources both clubs have. They are indeed a side we should be beating, but I would be amazed if we do.

You're reading what I meant wrongly. When I said we should be beating them, I meant that as a side with better support & resources than most clubs in SL then a minimum standard should be winning your home games. I also acknowledged that Cas were deserved favourites so where's the delusion? I'm more cheesed off with Hull consistent under achievement this season. Cas have done very well this year and provided some lessons for others to learn but a well managed Hull side at home should be something they would fear - not that this is happening at the moment.

That makes more sense.
