Agree, but this is the board who refused to even acknowledge our history for 3 years by removing the roll of honour from the programme.

Just a thought why dont we all chip in and buy it and donate it to the club, like many people have said this should be at the club and if the board wont do anything about it why dont we.

because we have no guarantees that:

a) it would be displayed
b) anyone but the corporates would ever access the area where it's displayed

and we don't have time to mobilise FCVoices to ask the questions.

I dont disagree, I just don't see an appetite for our history with the current board, look at the way they haven't really bothered about Boulevard being woped off the face of the earth.

Maybe some one shouldve asked JR on kcfm to buy it as its club history.. be a good gesture to the fans!!

I emailed the club last night suggesting it might be a nice idea for the club to buy it. I imagine others may have done so too and others might want to do so over the next few days.

I am currently the highest bidder and have everything intention of donating it to the club should I win the item. As previously said this should be with the club.

Lol I do have a limit and was going to use the money to sponsor a player next year but would rather make sure this item is where it belongs.

If a fan is definitely going to donate the medal to the club (Or the club wants to purchase through a third party) then I would suggest that those parties make sure they don't start a bidding war as they are both on the same side as it were.
IF Johnny Boys intentions are in fact to give it to the club then as much as I'd love this I would not make any hostile bid against him. No point having a dick swinging contest to see who has the deepest pockets


The vendor has assured me of the authenticity and its provenance.

I have awaiting the club coming back to me on this? They may be set on buying it themselves, in which case I have said that I will also refrain from any more bidding.

The club have just confirmed to me that they are not bidding on the item and I have also let them know of my intentions. I have told them what my maximum bid will be and that if I can get it for below that price then they can have it. If anybody wants to check out my authenticity then feel free to contact Sarah Mcallister at the club to confirm what I've said.
